Tranny Swap

I own a 1991 Eclipse GSX and it has an automatic tranny, and i've been thinking about switching it over to the 5-speed manual, but i dont even know if its possible. I was wondering if the trannys are interchangeable and how it would work with all the electrical systems involved in the auto then just bypassing them with the manual. Please let me know if anyone knows the answer...thanks.

I am pretty sure it is possible. But it is going to be pricey. May cost the same amount for a used 1g GSX.

I don't know the specifics but I am pretty sure someone here has done it, or knows someone who did.
