If I put a straight ends along my pressure plate from one side to the other and I can see light underneath the inside half of the plate does that mean it's warped?

I don't know about warped, how sure are you that your straight edge is straight? It is probably warn and just needs to be resurfaced.

I'd rather not have to resurface it. It's practicaly brand new with 1500 miles on it. When I put the straight edge on something that I know is perfectly straight, it aligns to it perfectly.

I don't think pressure plates can be resurfaced.... If you look at the friction side of it it slightly tapers. It basically looks like this \ / ( with less of an incline ) .. you can't just resurface this like you can with rotors.

Ooops (shoots self in head) I totally didn't even realize that you were talking about a pressure plate, I was thinking about a flywheel.

So now that I got my mind on topic, where are you measureing accross? Are you talking about the friction surface, or the cover?
