clutch doesnt let me put into gear after my mechanic installed the new motor

i just had my mechanic replace the motor on my 95 gst(63k miles 7 bolt motor i bought from slowboy) ..... the motor runs and idles perfect but when i try to engage 1st gear(neither 2nd, 3rd,4th,5th, or reverse) the clutch wont let me ...i called my mechanic after being pushed by my girlfriends cavalier most of the way home.....and he said" the hydrolick clutch has to be bleed again" im just wondering if there could be another problem like my clutch or tranny?...im stomped i never had this happen to me.

How does the pedal feel? Is it really soft? It probably just has air in the line and needs to be bled.

If your clutch feels really tight you might have too much preload on your clutch. As in if you push it in and it tries to engage real high.

Adjust the clutch by turning the adjustment rod to the passenger side of the car about 1/2 turn. Pump it 3-4 times and wait about 1 min. Try shifting it then and that should have done the trick. You might have to do this again later on (50 miles or so). Rotating the rod to the passenger side lowers engagement, rotating to the driver side raises engagement.
