sorry i dont know my drivetrain components very well but are there different sizes between left and right front driveshafts, and what is a halfshaft...thanks
 
The left and right are different sizes. There are some cars that have equal length half shafts, I think it helps with tq steer. For your other questing halfshafts are the axles in the front of the car that power the front wheels. I don't know where the name came from but that's what they are. CV joints are the parts that connects the half shafts they are protected by the rubber boot. If you take it off they are just knuckles. Hope that helps you out. :thumb:
