Ok, So I have 91 TSI AWD, that i bought not running.
The kid who had it didn't know what was wrong. timing belt was a bit frayed, and a few valves were obviosly bent (took off Valve Cover).
Now, I got the thing in my garage, and I started taking off the timing belt cover. When I got under the car, I noticed that the crank pully was about 1/2 an inch to far intowards the block. It had worn a groove for itself in the timing belt cover, and the belt to it was off. not knowing that much about the engine, I would assume that this would be "crank walk" but I thought that only happened on 2g dsms.
If any one has any ideas please let me know.
Thanks.
