well i have a 97 gsx and my friend just got a 2000 civic si, he talks mad shit saying that my car will break down when i shift to 2nd. Im not a shit talker so i never say anything. But he wants to race me i talked him into taking it to the track then after were gonna go from a roll 20mph then 60mph. So who do u think will win. this will happen on sat the track will be closed tomorrow and friday.

My gsx: CAI, Boost Controller set at 15psi, blitz BOV, 3inch downpipe, and a magnus head.

00 si: exhaust, headers, CAI,and shortshifter.

So what do u all think,
he is an ok driver he is better then i am but not by much he isint good at launching though im better at that.

ill tell u all what happendson sat or sun

so who do u all think will win?

You= beating him when your stock. With those mods you should waste him good, now if your a terrible driver and it was a RSX with those mods and you were stock it would be close. But dont worry you got him good luck

Umm...what kind of CAI do you have? Never heard of one for a GSX. You only have a 3" downpipe but the rest of the exhaust is stock? And you have all stock IC piping. And you got a new head why?

I think you should waste him...but I am wondering about your choice in mods. You just did stuff in weird stages...It'll all work out better in the end though.

But yeh Good Luck. The 2000 Si's are ok...probably the fastest stock civic made. But I doubt he would run much faster than a mid/low 15. You should be in mid 14s

well the intake is crap it was "custom made" by some shop around here, i got it used from some guy, but i needed an intake so i hust bought it from him for 15bux, o and i forgot to put that i have an exhaust, a tanabe got it for 200bux but am gonna sell it and get an apex. and i havent gotten the I/C piping because im saving for a front mounted 1

oh my god, a stock SI with good driver does a high 15. with those he's maybe touching high 14's as in 14.9999999999. A stock GSX does 14.9 stock, with good driver. You'll mutilate him.

well i raced him on saturday in the early afternoon.
3times in the 1/4mile at the track.
1st time everything went good beat him by like a bus and a 1/4.
2nd i got a crappy launch and beat him by 2or3 cars.
and 3rd i launched a 4k and beat him by 2 cars.
then on a roll:
from 20 he stayed with my till 3rd then i left him
the from 60 he kept up till high 4th and left him

he is gonna get a nitrous system and we will be racing again when he gets it in about a month.

when I first had my car that is exactly what I raced.

75 Shot 2000 Si with full exhaust, headers, CAI, AFC, Pulleys, Cam gears, ported TB, and I think that was most of it.

He pulled about 1 car on me on the launch (like the front of mine was at his back bumper), cause I had traction problems in first...then I shifted into second and pulled up just a little bit, and then we stayed even all the way to like 110-120 with me right by the back of his front door.

So yes, he beat me...but I didn't loose any money. At the time all I had done was 3" cat-back, K&N FIPK, Magnacore Wires, MBC at 17-18psi on T25, Short UICP w/Greddy TypeS BOV.

You might need a little more help to beat him, start thinking about fuel mods, tuning system, and a new turbo/intercooler. But you should still be able to hang.

Anyway, nice kill The amount you beat him the first time sounds right...I don't know what happened the 2nd, 3rd...shift faster...and the highway doesn't sound too bad either...considering your on T25.

im gonna try to find a good fmic thats not too expensive prob a dejon race fmic, but i want an apexi.
and for fuel mods i want a apexi safc and not sure which pump,and maybe injectors.
Now its time for the hard part saving the 2grand

wow...14.2 with your mods is good. Personally if I were you...I'd save up for either Prostreet or Victory Performance IC...they aren't that much more...and they are that much better.

Saving 2 grand...ha...its gonna be more than that

fuel mods - (400-800 depending on how much stuff you get)

tuning system ~ 800-1000 (DSMLink depending on how much you get a 95 ecu for)

new turbo/intercooler ~ 2000 average

if you can shave off that much, then wow...can I buy parts through you?

i currently have $1900 for the stuff but right after imma start saving for the turbo. for christmas i hopefully might get some injectors from my dad and fuel pump from my girlfriend

yup they are getting rare
and i got a nasty bruise on my left elbow, and a nasty seatbelt burn on my lef collar bone

i was driving home from work like at 11pm. i was on an empty street , i was doing like 55, well im driving and i see a car comming fast he reaches me and were comming up on an intersection i noticed he turned on his turning signal to make a right. (he must have been blind) he tries to get in my lane (were side by side) hits the side of my car and my elbow my arm was out the window. he went in hard so he pushed my car to the side walk. a fire hydrent (sp?) makes a huge scrape on the right side and i went heads up with a light post. i was stunned for like 15seconds. i had to jump out the window and i see that ####er boning out. then people come out cops and ambulence get there and i end up getting home like at 2am. ohh and the car is ####ed up. the poll went in like 3feet in the engine bay, it got too like the pistons, left side is crunched in and the right had a huge piercing scrape, o and 2 broken axles. i have pics but no1 has a scanner:thumbdown
