Just a curious question . . . has anyone tried shifting without lifting up on the throttle? Anything good/bad/ugly about doing this?

I have the TMO stage III ECU in my car. It has a clutch-cut that holds the RPM when you depress the clutch so that you can keep the gas pedal down. I dont like using it however. Just something about it doesnt seem to healthy for the car. I did try it once though and it did feel pretty cool, I just didnt think it was too good for the tranny to do it anymore.

reason I ask is I was thinking of getting DSMLink V2 and it supports it. Was curious as to how it feels/reacts/etc . . .

Ah. So you aren't truly speaking of power shifting, but a software program you hope -and, hopefully, pray- won't let the transmission internals convert from selection devices to metal removing tools.

Well, it's your car. If it works, it'll be rough on things (or, people on both the road and tracks wouldn't bother to lift) from every bearing and joint in the driveline to the clutch and still, the transmission internals themselves. The motor won't be all that keen on the idea, either.
