Hey guys. I need some serious help. I have been to our local 1/8th 3 times now, and cant run any faster than a 9.3. Here's my mods:

Big 16g port/polish
Exaust mani port polish
o2 port/polish
Full 3" Downpipe/race pipe/cat back
ACT 2600
190 lph fuel pump
SAFC
turbo XS manual boost controller (middle FELL OUT i turned it up too high)
k&n mas etc...

my 60' fts are 1.9s and r/ts are .25 and LOWER I just cant pull the times I should be able to. I have stock suspension, shit tires (first gear is spin)
Even w/ these probs my times should be better I think...Suggestions???

Do you have a logger? With a 1.9 60' you should be able to get way better than a 9.3 in the 1/8th. You must have some tuning issues. How much boost?

Yeah. I come out of the hole HARD. My launch is sick, I just seem to lose it midway through second gear. I definately have tuning issues. No question. 92 pump gas, I dont hear any knock, and dont feel any timing retard, but that doesnt mean its not there. About boost, its pretty odd. I hit 10lbs right after 3grand, 15 after 5 grand, and 20 from 5800 to redline. My first thought was oil, I changed it w/ sythetic, no difference. My fuel tuning is pretty right on...(at least according to my autometer blinky), and no I dont have a logger, or an EGT...I know, I know I need em, but for now, what I got is what I got. Ideas?

20 psi is too much for 92 octane, especially since you don't have any real tuning tools. You could either be getting boost creep from a too small wastegate, or a boost leak that won't let you build boost in lower rpm. So port your wastegate and the area before and after it, and do a pressurized leak test. and launch harder!

20 pounds of boost+stock injectors+92 octane = Knock

Your Car is knocking so bad up top that the ECU is pulling timing like crazy and killing your top end!!

Set your boost to 15 psi and the car will be alot faster

and get some 550s before you blow your sh!t up!

Also 1.9 isnt all that of a 60 foot in a AWD. You should aim for a 1.7 or 1.8.

ya 1.9 is fairly slow for awd, i do low 1.7s with 40 series tires spinning, also canadian dsm hit it right on the spot, u probably cant even run 15 let a lone 20 lbs on stock injectors. what was your mph anyway?

yeh...your getting horrible knock...no doubt. If your creeping, then fix that...it sounds like that is the problem, not the controller...although that controller will become a problem when you want to run higher boost (mine did).

9.3's are good for low 14s in the quarter...which is actually what I would assume you would get, no fuel mods.

And lastly, when you say that it is tuned right with the blinky gauge, I really hope you don't mean that the gauge is saying stoichometric while your going down the track. It should be saying rich, very rich. Because you want your O2 volts high when racing. Not around .5 which is perfectly stoichometric.

Turn your boost down to 14. Then you should be faster, until you get a new fuel pump/injectors. After that maybe you could turn it up to 17-18...or even 20 with the right tuning.

ok, nm, you have a fuel pump. Put it at 15 then. But yeh...there is a lot in doing the right tuning, BTW, are you hitting fuel cut?

You CAN run 15lbs on Stock Injectors. anything much more than that you will start to break things within.
