I'm thinking about purchasing a 92 Talon Tsi, and was just curious what it would run with the following mods.
This car has under 10k since the engine was rebuilt. It has a brand new rebuilt tranny on there. I did not build this car, but here is what I know.
- It has a built motor (not sure if it is using JE pistons or 95 pistons)
- balance shafts removed
- front mount (spearco core)
- appears to be a "Frank series" or 20G turbo
- HKS cams (272's I believe)
- 4 bolt rear-end and axles
- HKS wastegate
- RPS clutch
- full 3 inches mandrel bent exhaust with a brand new Tanabe Super Racing Medallion. including HKS downpipe
-95 ported manifold
-polished intake
-polished valve cover
-ported head
-720 CC injectors
- intank Supra fuel pump
-KYB shocks/struts
-TMO DataLogger
-Apexi AFC (older version )
-Turbo Time
-blitz boost controller
-greddy type r bov

I want a car that will be fun to drive, but also not too much as far as modding is concerned.

So what do ya think?

Well if you don't want that is modded much then I don't understand why you're looking at this one:confused: This is pretty heavily modded. I would try to find out who did the engine work for him especially the head. Find out what the car runs. He obviously races it with all those mods. That'll at least give you some idea of the car is put together right if it runs quick times.

If you dont want a modded car then you shouldn't be looking at this car, it pretty much has eveything done to it.

My bad on the wording.......hell yeah i want MODS but i didnt want to have to physically buy them and have them put on. My fault on that one.
The reason I want it is because it is modded pretty good.

So what do you think?

Just because it has alot of mods on it doesn't mean they were done right. I would find out who did the engine work. Its easy to screw up a heaad and make the head flow less than stock. Drive it. Find out what it runs.

Well, assuming it is what he says it is to be, what do you think it would run, just an honest question?

Anywhere from an 11.00 to a 13.50. I know thats not what you want to hear but there's too many variables to predict.

Thanks, yeah I know I will have to drive it to get a feel for the car's capabilities. I was just wondering (not familiar with DSMs) if the car was capable of 11's or not. Should be if it is tuned properly and well-kept.

Thanks.
