Ok I know how to Drag I own a 13 sec GTP supercharged and launching that is hard enough ;-). But My biggest reason for asking is what will a stock 1st Gen Turbo FWD most likely run?I'm guessing 15's but I'm not sure either mid or high?

I bought my 90 Laser Turbo 5speed about a month ago for a daily driving and such but I couldn't just let it go stock. My goal is 14's and that's it.

Intake is comin and a short throw shifter. A few other goodies like a Turbo Timer and Boost Controler also a mechanical boost cauge is on the way.

Please help me!!!!

When my 1st Gen Turbo FWD was stock it ran 17's on 87oct and no mods at all. Not even K&N filter.

My best time now is 14.6@100MPH with 93oct. It would be better but I cant launch good at the track yet and its not tuned perfect so I will have to settle with that for now. But you can look at my mod list to get an idea of what you might need. Also keep in mind I am up in the frozen wasteland of Canada.

My sisters 92' FWD did a 15.4 stock with 93 octane. 2 weeks ago i took my car to th track for he first time and on my last run after trying different launching methods i got 14.5 @ 98.57 mph. made me very happy. This is with the yokohma AVE ES100s. I also had ported my turbo, gutted my cat, hacked my mas, cranked the boost to 14.5-15 psi with the hallman MBC and an o2 housing with and external dump. So in total i spent $35 on the boost gauge $45 on the boost controller and $160 on the o2 housing. Thats not including the tires though....which helped a lot. With the intake you are getting and the mbc and free mods i'm sure if you had a good enough launch and good shifting you could get mid to high 14's.

God luck man

ya, I might add that around here a stock FWD TSi would run HIGH 15's at best. I ran 17's because compression was jucky with mass oil burn off. At least thats fixed now. And I never run anything special for tires.

Ok, but my sisters 92' eclipse gs turbo did pull a 15.4 (her boyfriend talonkid119 was driving and her in the car with him ) . And the only mod she has are the rims and tires she got AFTER this run. So she was bone stock, the engine hadn't been touched at all. And mike pulled this time off twice. I know on the stat websites they say around a 15.7 + or - a .10 but the least i can say is....thats wrong....i saw proof.

Well, There are some freak cars made that are just plain faster than they were rated to be. But its not TOO uncommon to find those tipes of times in the states, just not here.

As long as it was maintained and the engine isn't too tired. Mid-15.

I have a friend that has just a K&N and runs low-mid 15s with a 91 GST.

I just did a little free mod this weekend to free up some boost. And man it feels a lot better and spools up a lot quicker. I've been shifting really really well so far with this so that should be no problem. It feels to me like it should be in the 15's most likely mid 15's. We'll have to wait and see though cause I have to play it safe and replace my brake rotors firts and fourmost.

My car went 14.8 @ 93 on stock boost, a dejon tool intake, and 3" custom mandrel bent exhaust. This was also on general crappy brand tires. So yes, a high 14 is attainable but the average driver with a bone stock FWD will prolly hit a low 15.
