The last time i was at the track i ran a 14.7 best. My clutch was stock and I noticed almost non-existant when it was changed. I now have a act 2600 with an organic street disk. I haven't made it up to the track yet but I made a run with my g-tech the other night. Best was a 14.1, this seems kinda slow to me, what do you guys think.

Here are my mods- 1998 GSX

Small 16g
walbro 255lph pump w/ rewire
full i/c piping
1g crushed bov
2.5" full exhaust
Ported exhaust manifold
magnecor 8.5mm race wires
supra mk IV sidemount
Turbo xs dual stage mbc at 17.5psi
93 octane pump gas

On pocketlogger my runs are .94v O2 with 18degrees of timing at the top of 3rd.

Shifting at 7k rpms.

OK.... so you guys think this is an ok time huh? I am looking to hit high 12's in the future but with a 14.1 it looks like i have alot of work to do.....

Jon

With me driving, and 18psi, you would be in the mid to low 13's.

Untill today I don't understand why people thing that a high performance clutch will give you better timming in the 1/4 mile, it's better than a stock clutch(I'm not going to argue with that) but if your a good driver a stock clutch is as good as a high performance one

I still have a stock clutch in my car and I do 1.7 60 footers in the 1/4 mile.

come by my house and see my stock disk, i'll show you how a high performance clutch (or new clutch for that matter) will help your times. When there is no material left and all it does is slip you can't help but get faster with a new clutch.

we have pretty much the same mods but i am twd and i am shooting for high 13's? You should be running faster.
