need help with clutch technique (SPECIFIC)

hey

when im shifting at the track i drive hard i will say.

when i get to the shift point about 6000 or 6500, i jam in the clutch and throw my shifter wherever it needs to go. then as soon as the clutch is at the floor (the gear is already in) i let it back out. i let it out without totally dropping it but i dont slip it. its a fluid motion.

i wish i had a video to help with the examples. i hope someone can help me.

i just wasnt sure if i was being too hard on my clutch or tranny. i didnt want to break anything.

Well is it a stock clutch? It may need replacing anyway. I know mine sure does.

Also, when shifting into third, fouth and fifth I would worry too much about it. There isnt alot of torque there to jar on the clutch. If it slips it slips, there isnt too much you can do but get a higher performance one. Although, in first and second you will want to let it off a little slower.

You're racing a street car. It's hard on it, and something will break (or wear out) sooner than if you weren't. Fast is expensive.
