2nd time at the track...this time major traction issues. i cant get a decent 60 ft worth shit. i dropped my exhaust and ran open downpipe. my best run was a 14.9 @ 98. trap speed a little high? yes with a 2.7 sec 60 ft. should i be running mid 14s if i just got a decent f*ckin 60 ft?

I know your pain, I ran a 14.8 @ 98 MPH.. wheel hop all throughout first gear.. then a couple weeks later my tranny blew up :) Get good tires + Motor mounts, helps a lot.

its a delicate art feathering both the gas and clutch....takes practice...

here's a tip to try the next time you're at the track.

try deflating your front tires to 18-20psi and inflate your rear tires to 40psi. This will increase your patch surface and give your front tires more bite. You will sacrifice trap speed but drop your ET's :D

But the best peice of advice is practice, practice, practice! My best 60ft on street tires is 2.1 and I'm still far from considering myself a decent driver. Good luck!

2.1...cool. my best stock was a 2.25. getting suspension soon so maybe i'll be in the 2.1's. that would rock. what kind of tires do u run?

I cut 2.1's using Khumo Ecstas and Yokohama 100's (what I'm currently on now)
