To you guys with 2g GS-T's. What do you guys think is the best launching and shifting point for these cars down the 1/4? Just want second opinions.

Thanks,
Leo

Launching is all a personal preference. Its all about finding the right spot to slip the clutch out. Some people slip it higher then others.

If your still on the stock T25 you might as well shift around 6-6500 as thats where the boost starts to fall off.

let me tell you I experimented with this the other night. I would let the cluth out at a steady 3k rpm then feather the throttle down(dont slam it in or youll spin and shift around 6250. I realized launching any higher than 3 and I spun through 3 gear and any thing less and I got terrible 60 foot times. I also realized that shifting at 6k I was in 4th at the end and lost alot of time and mph.
To sum up I was getting 2.3 60 foot times with my ac on so if you can drive expect a little better....and oh yeah stay in third til the end. BE CARFUL after 8 runs two days later my car is now in the shop, so heed my word I was a granny driver too. good luck :thumb:

found out is was some bullshi* ic piping poped of under boost. Hopefully thats all.
my times are as follows:
r/t .776
60' 2.397
330 6.579
1/8 9.906
mph 75.33
1000 12.750
1/4 15.163
mph 93.58

stock, pump gas, ac on(dont ask) 9 psi

I would shift around 6000 rpms, according to my dyno sheet. The T25 started dieing right around there.

sorry...I know you said don't ask...but why the hell did you have your ac on...those things steel around 10-15hp...and yeh why only 9 psi, if you don't have a boost controller or BOV then your stock boost is gonna be around 13psi, if you have a BOV then its like 18

on the way to the track my windows fogged up and I put the ac on to clear them to see...I guess nervouseness and excitment took over and I didnt turn it of. About the 9 psi I dont know what to tell you it only boosts to 10 then immediatly drops to 9, and no I dont have any leaks(that I know of after checking the car over) Oh well I am hoping for 14s with the ac off and stock boost levels.:thumb:
