So I want to have the Fastest 1/4 Mile T25 time....how?

Here are my mods on the car so far:

I have a Denso 190lph pump, 95 eprom, and IC sprayer I need to install. I first need to send off the eprom to get socketed for DSMlink tho.

The fastest T25 time on dsmtimes.org is 13.404
I want to beat this, and not just barely, I want to get ~13.2

I will not be doing any kind of weight reduction either, I dotn even want to remove the spare tire or back seat.
After I get the DSMlink and install the fuel pump, I plan to get either a CFDF 2500 or ACT 2100 clutch, Port my Exhaust Manny, EGT, and 660 Injectors. Do I need the injectors for the T2small? Or will the 190 pump and stock 450 injectors run enough fuel for say 17psi? I dont want to run anymore than that since it would be nothing but hotair.

Will I need suspension to get there? I am looking to get the Tein SS coilover system. But If that can wait that would be nice since that costs around $1k.

Now I am assuming Race Gas will be a MUST in order to run ~13.2 on the T25?

Well if you dont really plan to keep the turbo then throw some race fuel in and run 20psi...you shoudl make more power and be aight:thumb:
 
Yeah might as well, I dont think there is any way in hell to get the T2small to run low 13's on pump. Im also curious if when I do run should I shift at like 6k?
 
I'll chime in here. That's my "listed record" your going after with my old car. Heres the info on it.

Apexi Silvia FMIC core
all IC piping

For my 13.404 @ 100 run I had full interior minus the spare, and a half tank of gas with about a 35 / 65 mix of 110 leaded / pump 92

I had no afc or anything else to tune with, stock injectors, and stock rewired fuel pump.

So yeah there's room do do it. Play with tire pressure, run full c16 if you can (or your choice of race gas), and tune the bi***. LOL

And what with the 13.2 man? I say break that whore into the 12s!

Wow, It looks like low 13's shouldnt be too hard for me then when I get all the other mods in. Because you were running stock injectors and fuel pump with no fuel control at all. I will have a 190 pump and DSMlink, and possibly some 660 injectors (like I need those for a T2small anyway, LOL). Im thinking that after I max out this T2small I might run a Complete Garret T3/T4 50 trim setup.:D

Anyway, I don't want to sound like an ass, but have you ever even run your car before? If you haven't, you have a lot of work to do. Some people can hop in a car and run awesome, most people it takes a lot of practice though. According to your profile, you do not have a drag time, I would worry about making it to the track and getting some practice in before you are let down on trying to get a record your first night out. Personally, I have made over 60 passes in my GSX and well over 300 passes in other cars (ranging from a 16 second eclipse GS to a 9 second Vega).

You also will probably just be making the car slightly harder to tune by putting 660's in it. I had the stock, not rewired fuel pump and stock injectors and I needed to pull fuel on my 13.48 run. I considered going for the T25 record but there are so many more gains to be had by just swapping in a bigger turbo.
 
i am goin for the same. fastest FWD t-25 thou w/o nitrous.
 
660's? ur crazy. dont do anything to ur fuel system. i had a baddass car with my stock turbo when i had it in and my safc settings were like -15's across the board in high throttle. i know i was in the high 13's but i'm not sure exactly where. 16 psi seems to be the max and 6k is exactly where power starts to drop. i was goin for that record too but everyone i know started doin motor swaps and gettin turbo gsr's and gettin bigger turbo's so i had to step up. i just ran a 12.7 on a 19c turbo. pump gas with 18" rims no nitrous. i have 550's and a pump and a afc2 for fuel tuning. i'm gettin dsmlink soon and then gettin cams and i will break into the high 11's with the 19c on pump gas once i get those mods. good luck though
 
I will stick with the 450's for the T2small since it has absolutely no CFM. I know at 15 psi with my current mods I am running pig rich. I need to get my Eprom sent out to DSMlink and install that and my 190lph fp at the same time. Then up my MBC to 16-17psi and see what kind of tuning I can do with that.

:rolleyes: Pass me what you're smokin if you think you're going to go from a 12.7 to a 11.9 with cams/stand alone.
 
Well, for somehting like that....sheetmetal intake manifold,maft,264's,water injection and if your really hardcore, up the compression ratio a lil bit.
 
Some local just ran a 13.1 on the T25 with out nitrous and only the spare removed. I would link the thread but DSMtalk is not working for me. He did it with a little bit of 100 octane IIRC and a stock slipping clutch. Pretty cool. IMO. :) He ran around 20PSI IIRC as well. With street tires.
 
I saw that same thread on DSMtalk. He was damn close to 12s on the T-25 without nitrous, which has convinced me that it's possible.

My current best is 14.0 running 17psi on 93-octane unleaded at full weight (including spare, jack, and my hefty ass; I love 40-degree weather), with a mild boost leak and a complete inability to hook up better than a 1.83 60'. The next time out, I'll have FP's 17psi wastegate actuator arm and a 1g throttle body w/RRE's TB elbow, and hopefully have DSMlink and my home-depot 3" intake installed by then (oh, and no boost leak this time), which should give me a comfortable high-13. DSMlink will probably help point out a few other areas I could use some improvement too.

After that, the plan is to:
  • clear up the issues I have with my exhaust. I'm running a 3" "high-flow" cat right now, and have a short 2.5" restriction right behind it...damn HKS. A ported Evo exhaust manifold is on the wishlist too. Anyway, once the cat is out of the way, I'll start running leaded at the track.
  • rewire the fuel pump, which should be more than enough fuel work for the time being; I'm running pig-rich, if my blinky-blinky idiot light/AF gauge is to be believed, but DSMlink should confirm that with knock/timing logs.
  • decide how I want to address my cooling issues. The stock SMIC hates me in the summer; the current plan is water injection (because it's cheap and relatively easy), followed by a CO2 sprayer if that doesn't do it (I'll break down and buy a front-mount eventually, but I want to get everything in place for water injection and CO2 spraying anyway).
  • put some new rubber on the car; last year's autocrossing has done bad things to the current set of all-seasons, and I'd REALLY like to hit a 1.7 60' this year.
  • after running on dsmlink for a while, and keeping an eye on knock, start running 20-22 psi at the track.
That might not get me 12s, but I'll sure as hell be in the low 13s. After that, I've got a few ideas (1g head swap, along with porting, oversized valves, cams, SM intake manifold; Quaife; serious lightening of the car), but most of them start looking pretty expensive considering I'm compensating for a weak turbo. ;)
