Sup guys, my tune is worked over and I'm ready to break into the 12's the next time I'm at the track.

I'm wondering if I should raise the rev limiter and stay in 3rd at the end or shift into 4th?

I cant help but think that the time it takes to shift into 4th is going to eat into the ET. Also when I shift into 4th it doesn't feel like much of a pull is going on.

BUT, I am still on stock cams and I know it isn't breathing much air at those high rpm.

I'm FWD on 24.5 in slicks.

Last time I reved it out it was right at 7500. I discovered a line popped off my boost controller solenoid and now the boost comes on much faster. I think the highest I trapped was 107. I am expecting to consistently trap higher then that with the new tune and the controller hooked up properly.

I guess I'll experiment with it. Will have to see if it wont knock in 4th on the new tune. Before it just seemed that the increased load into 4th would knock no matter what.

What you want to find out is your power band. And since your on a billet 20g lag is not a problem. So if you hit 4th what rpm will you be at,and then what boost level, remember nlts. Then go back to your powerband, and you will have your answer. I hope.

In 4th I get 13.1 leaving it in 3rd gets me 12.9@109 at 7500

I think with the more power you got you'll have to make the shift to 4th...either way sounds like you got it in the bag.

I've just discovered I had a line off of my boost control solenoid creating a boost leak and also messing with my boost control.

The boost comes on much much faster now. I do definitely think I'll be going to 4th.

I think I'll be going to the track next Friday for the Midnight Drags. These are so busy that I may only get a couple runs in though.

according to your dyno sheet there is NO POWER above 6500rpm. Oyu should defiantly shift into 4th @6400rpm.
