My 1st night at the track with the compound set up

First night out at the US131 drag strip last night and during tech they warned me if I went faster than 11.50 that they would kick me because I don't have a fire jacket.... Well the first run of the night I had a soft launch(2.0 60ft), getting use to shifting the auto through the ratchet shifter and hit the brakes at the 1000ft and managed a 11.00 at 97mph. I saw the tech guy walking over to the booth where you grab the slips and I got out of there before he had time to talk to me.

The second run was against Allen in his SIM EVO. He was on stock tires and had some traction issues along with clutch drag issues. This time I figured I might as well go balls to the wall or at least try. This run was the smoothest run I have ever made. The auto makes things so smooth and just awesome!!! You can see the time in the second video. 9.92 @ 138 with a 1.5 60ft. Allen went mid 12s @ 12x. Pulled the car on the trailer and started looking for fire suits.

I want to give a shout out to ECMlink. Tom and Dave have been nothing short of amazing and a huge help this year. I also want to thank FIC for supplying me with some bad ass 2150 injectors to fuel this 4g. Kevin at Kiggly for supplying me with this 7 bolt flex-plate along with his 5 friction front clutch. The trans is working great and I don't have to worry about stacking 7 bolt flex-plates to hold the power. I think we should all thank him for his tech articles on his website. Everyone who builds an auto should read all he has to offer.

Here are the videos:

Drives good on the street. I need to install some type of boost controller setup so the gates don't see boost pressure. I can hear them opening early. Takes me about 6-7 secs to reach my launch boost which is about 15-17psi. Not to bad. I am going to mess with the tune a bit for spool

What's was with the white smoke coming out the exhaust? Head gasket? You can really see it when you turn off the track from the other cars view. Oh and, awesom run. I just got a 2g Auto AWD for my fiance and learning about the auto trans' has me feeling like a total newbie again.

Nope its just a little oil from me slamming the brakes. The oil drain on the small turbo is at a less than perfect angle and tends to pool up when I decel. It clears up when I make the turn.

Nice work! Glad to hear both the flexplate and compound turbo setups are working well.
