New best, 8.75 at 155

Minor improvement, but a new best on the 67mm, 8.75 at 155. Still pretty soft on the settings from the lean issue I was having for the last few weeks, hopefully I get it out this week and turn it back up.

1g Rear wheel drive dsm Drag Race, 8 second dsm - Kevin Jewer 8.75 @ 155mph - New Best ET - In Car - YouTube

Later in the night things got a little more interesting. Some cool camera angles too. Ryan (mirage) brought some extra Go-Pros for the tire and the rear view. Thanks again Chad for the video.

And a cool comparison of the in car videos:

Nope, I still plan to put the compound setup back on and improve it significantly. I'm using nitrous to spool the 67mm, and while it obviously works very well as you can see in the video, I still absolutely hate it.

I vote that you replace the gaymatic with a liberty/jericho/g-force/lenco. Something with a shifter and a clutch.

Great vids feels like i'm right there with ya

Even though it looks pretty mundane w/ the auto in there i'm sure there is plenty going in your routine to keep it fun and still challenging.

The side by side vid shows it lol

Nice runs there Kevin. Glad to see the single is working well for you. Thanks for sharing the videos too! The different camera angles are great. The in-car view is amazing on the launch. Really shows how hard you're coming out of the hole.

Why would you want to spend thousands upon thousands of dollars more that will give you no added benefit to go with one of those trans? Thats almost like telling someone who races 275x cars to swap out the auto to spend more money to become less consistent.

I completely feel you on this comment. I absolutely hate having to use nitrous to spool my setup. But it's needed. Great job on the car! It's come a long way!

Thanks guys! No new runs this past week, the track was closed for the NHRA race. But, that means track conditions will be the best we'll probably see this year during wednesday's rental, so I'll be there. I believe I know how to get the car back to that freak run at Import vs Domestic a month ago after reviewing the logs, so I'm hoping to see a little improvement in the 60' and the ET. My best 60 foot is a 1.20. set back in 2008. I'd like to finally beat that. The car should be making more power on this turbo too, but that's a whole other project.
