I was at the track today and i ran a 15.4 with a 300 plus pound passenger and no second gear, i was shifting straight from 1st to 3rd and was trapping 15.4 at 88 mph.. is that a decent time for not having second gear?

I think with 2nd gear i should be able to go flat 14 high 13.. my 60 ft was 2.00 with stock clutch as well let me know how you think my driving was :thumb:

What's the breakdown of the time slip? That speaks multitudes more than just an ET and trap speed.

Ill get the slip when i get out of bed, and i was just racing to practice my launches i wasnt worried about my et at all i just wanted to get consistent 2.0s which i did

It makes no sense for you to go to the track without a 2nd gear. How can we judge your track times skipping a gear? Aiming for 2.0 60fts with an AWD is pretty bad too. You should be aiming for 1.7 60fts or lower.

So I guess your decision to go to the track and your driving were equally bad.

Did you have a passenger everytime? A 300lb passenger at that

Get the extra weight out, fix second and get the 60ft around 1.7 and you may be in the high 13s

SIDENOTE: I would never launch my car with passengers in it although they would always be like "launch it" no thanks I like my drivetrain.

Theres no way im gonna run a 1.7 60ft or lower im basically stock with stock clutch and no lauch control how high would i have to launch and rev the car out of first to get a 1.7?

You should be able to get a 1.7 or at least 1.8 60ft launching at 6k while slipping the clutch out and the handbrake at the same time. Sometimes you can even bring the clutch up while still holding the car with the brake, wait for the light and release the handbrake and the rest of the clutch. No launch control is needed or big clutch/pressure plate setups to get there. Doing it this way, you are going to burn the clutch but save your transmission! It's always a compromise :)

Launching on a broken tranny?! There's no part of this that shows good judgement. So how many launches until you have no forward gears? Park it and fix it. The more you break; the more expensive the fix will be.
