Now this is very controversial and different from everyone but how much better 1/4 drag times have you guys have seen increase from a top street tire to slicks?(my guess is a second but I dont know). What is the top rated street tires in your all opinion and what is the top rated drag slicks? Last are drag radials street legal?
Just a bunch of questions I was wanting to know in all your opinions.

Well I'll tell you from my experience i was only able to pull high 13's low 14's on my hankook street tires. Now on my Hoosier qtp's I have ran a 12.9 and hope to get better e.t's this season, shooting for low 12's high 11's.

If your fwd & basically want to run less then somewhere in the 13's, you basically need slicks or drag radials. Sure you can go faster by making alot of hp but its a waste as your et will be way off your trap mph. From my experience, don't waste your time on street rubber. With a good DR (recommend Hoosier) or slick, dropping a second should be fairly easy, or possibly more depending on the setup.

Most DR's are DOT approved (or "street legal") but as far as actually using them on the street, that can be a different stroy depending on the specific. For example the BFG DR will net some big improvements vs street rubber & could still be run on the street. On the other hand, Hoosier DR's are DOT approved but I'd never drive them on the street on a regular basis. They are nylon belted instead of steel, so super soft sidewall for a DR & light but they "float" around with the soft sidealls. Their "tread" is also a couple, single grooves around the tire. They are not ment to evacuate water, so wet driving or hitting standing water could be very dangerous. Thier tread compound is also extremely soft & I doubt you'd get 5K out of them. Another thing is they are designed for short rips down the strip, who knows how the tire would hold up from continuous heat from something like a highway drive.

I love my Falken's on the street, but on the strip they had nothing compared to the MT slicks I used. As such with cars, better times = more monies. Get a nice set of front wheels and throw some slicks on them for the track, you will be glad you did.
