Well lets try this again, this sunday i'm going to the last race of the season at opur 1/8th mile track (it's been flooded all year and finally the waters have fallen and it's clean enough to run on) I'm sorta stoked about the event, which is a "true street" event (all cars must be currently plated and street tires only allowed in order to run period)
There's 2 hours of T&T to estacblish a dial in then the rest of the day is racing
I never have been a huge fan of bracket racing (i'm more of a heads up elimination guy) but i guess i can try and be consistant on my 5spd, but being new to AWD launching isn't gonna help, might have to sandbag and use the 2 step to slow down at the end of the track
(just kidding, i'll go all out)
Never have been excited much for the 1/8th mile, but with AWD i figure it will be fun for once.. I used a program called dynomaster on my android (just like G-tech) but with more features and did some 0-60MPH pulls (well i did 2, the first one i bogged, the second one was "just right") The good one netted me a 0-60MPH of 4.34 seconds and a total 0-64mph in 4.507 seconds (i let off when the logger said the 60mph mark was reached as that's all i was after)
EDIT: ALso would like to add that the 1-2 shift came at about 7600 RPM, then i revved 2nd out untill the 60MPH chime, and then just mercy shifted to third and let off, porbably could have gone faster launching harder, shifting a tad later on the 1-2 and turnign the boost up past 26psi
Anyway, back in the late 90's early 2k's that was Porsche 911 turbo AWD 0-60's so i'm very please considering that i pretty much babied it out of the hole, no 2-step, no burnt clutch and didn't even "dump" the clutch as i'm still afraid of breaking stock drivetrain parts..
anyone else pull some 0-60's on similar prgrams/devices on stock drivetrains or near stock that can post up some times? (i'm sure a dogbox with a twin disk and a 4 spider CD and I would have brought that number down a TON, maybe even into the new porsche times of 3.7 on the 2010 911 GT3 ) Ever since the swap when talking to people that don't understand cars i just tell them it's now what you'd call "a poor man's porsche"
Anyway, i'm happy, wish me luck on sunday and i'll be posting results
(for some reason my other thread about this won't work on any PC or phone i try and view it on, so can a Mod/Admin please delete it?)

There is one local track that you have to go up a hill to the starting line and you have no choice but to drive through the water (which of course is not what you want with street tires). With my FWD I would try to spin them to dry them (which didn't work) and then I would be fighting the usual FWD issues with a street car on street tires. But with the AWD I can just drive right through the water and forget about it.
I can drive right up and cut a 1.7-1.8 60' with a pretty easy launch which was unthinkable with the FWD.
