OK I have a 90 Laser RS Turbo with a k&N air filter and exhaust. When I race my car I cant launch for sh**. I dont really know how to launch my car, since I berly started driving DSM's. I rev it up to 3K and just take off. When I take off its like if my car stays there spinning the wheels all the way trough 2nd gear, even in 2nd gear it spins a little. Whats the best way to launh my car. I raced a 91 crx si and he beat me by 1/2 a car cause of my lunching..... my cars manual.

is there any way i can get the turbo swosshhh to sound louder without really buying something.

any help on launching and making my swooshhhh sound louder will hel......thnkz....

your peeling out when you launch at 3000rpm? maybe you should get new tires. and to make your car make a louder woosh you could vent to the atmosphere but then you will most likely run like crap so this is what you got to do. right before the bov makes the noise roll down the windows and yell "woooooooooooooosh"

he said roll down the windows and yell "whooooosh" hahahahha
I'm sorry oooooh man that's great!!!!! I'm laughin' so hard I got tears rolling out

....umm...i would suggest lunching at burgerking or mcdonalds. they are both real quick ways to lunch.

hey i have a 92 tsi fwd if you pull the ebreak up and let the clutch out till it wants to grab hold it about 2500 or 3000 when you get ready to go let the break down and ease out on the clutch you will get boost and a good launch it works if you do it right:dsm: :thumb:

you just have to become one with your DSMOMG

ok here is something that will actually help you ...first off if you have aftermarket rims with low profile tires GOOD LUCK.... if you have stock rims with stock tires have the front tires at 25-29 psi and the back tires at 40-45 to reduce drag .... keep the car reved up at 2500 to 3000 then when its time to launch slip the clutch out fast but not too fast feel for the break away point of your tires then once you have traction it will spin just a tad at the end of 1st but then hook up nicely at 2nd then you will pwn the shit outta the civic SI plus you also need to know how to drive your car... once you start professionally modding your car with a moderate to wild amount of power i suggest you get a bigger tire width say 225 or bigger make sure they are drag radials .... then get a good suspension say skunk 2s or watever.. and last but not least get a REAL LSD eX. a quaffie. if you cant afford it BM and Phantom make temporary Fake lsds taht hold up well and help out but do NOT last forever .... p.s YOU WILL go through a few stock clutches by slipping it overtime so i suggest a act 2100 or better i hope this helps:)
