Blackbird 2009, wrap-up vid

We didn't hit our goals with the car this year, but still had lots of fun and footage to share.

Crank it up and hope you enjoy.

vid

Cool video! I think the '90-'91 Talon is one of the baddest looking cars running down the track, and I'm not biased either!

The car moves out and it looks like there's more in it in the driving dept by watching the vid. It looks like he was making fairly liesure passes with it.

Awesome music as well, have to appreciate that!

So, sights are on single digits I'd imagine for next year?

Cool video. The car looks like it definitely has low 10s in it with some faster shifting. You guys are doing a great job.

We know there's lots left in the car yet, it was built to run mid 9's and if I have anything to do with it, it will next year. This car was a five year project to take from stock to low 9's using four different set-ups and having fun with each, next year will be year number five.

We had a run on little things this year, that held us back, short list of some below.

Broken throttle body shafts (2).
Oil filter sheared off mid way through a run (you can imagine the mess).
Cam sensor failier (in the middle of an event).
Stripped 4th gear.
Broke second gear.
Toasted three head gaskets.

We try to launch on the conservative side, in order to save our drive-train and then make it up in the second 1/8th with raw power. We would rather do 80 ten second passes than one nine second pass.

We don't us NLTS, won't untill we put a dogbox in it and there is very little weight out of the car, might even be a little extra considering we carry a roll cage, ice box and 3.5" exhaust system.

Thanks for the positive comments guys, when a car gets to this level your happy just taking the odd tenth out it where you can.

No doubt and I'm sure you will meet your goal. I totally agree with the last statement above. Although, reading through your list, there is some carnage with the type of power you guys are making.

Either way, bad ass stuff and cheers to 2010.
