I know this is not real big news, but after a frustrating racing season for me, this was a fun way to end the year. I hurt my race motor at the beginning of October ( 2-3-2 mis-shift ) and did not want to end the season like that. I still had my stock, original short block " retired " on a engine stand in the garage. With the help of a couple of buddies, we pulled the race motor, swapped everything onto the stock short block and re-installed it in the car. A BIG thank you to Greg Joubert ( fellow NABR member ) and Doug Elfman who helped me get the car done. I went to the track Friday night and ran:
10.60@132 ( missed 4th )
10.56@135
10.42@138.50
The block is the original one from my car, has been raced for about 11 seasons ( was pulled two years ago for a race motor). It has 600+ runs on it, multiple low 11 second runs and 15-20 ten second runs. I honestly think the car could low 10's or possibly a high 9 with more boost and a better 60'. Car weight with driver was 2996, weighed Friday.
Good times, man. Congrats. Is your profile up to date and how much your car weighs???
Thanks,Andy.

Stock short block!
Awesome!, I got the issue of you in modified, car inspired me to try and go mid to low 10s on the stock block but in a 2500lb awd car, Ill see what happens!
Screw race motors anyway! Lol.

I was debating this with andy in another thread that a a1000 pump is enough for a hx52/hta88r turbo. I see you have a intake cosmo pump I'm not familiar with that pump but teh main pump is the a1000 correct? Do you have any lean fuel problems or lack fuel up top when at full boost on that thing?

The Cosmo is similar to a Supra pump. The A1000 is in-line. I have no fuel delivery issues at all. IDC's were about 85% and AFR's were in the mid 10's.

Stock short block!
[QUOTE=4WARND;151664332]No idea who STM is, but I can assure this is a stock short block. I have no reason to lie about it.[/QUOTE
I believe you I wasnt saying you were lying about the stock block. I just thought you knew of STM since they were running 10's on the stock short block. check them out STM - Street Tuned Motorsports.com - Rochester NY
Well they no longer have the stock bottom end anymore since it blew up, who knows what their plans are
Mike good to see you still have the car and it is running well. We..(meaning the DSM community) missed seeing you at the SO this past year, hope you can make it back to Norwalk again next year.

Ak ok, sorry, I thought you were implying it wasn't stock when you said they " had " one to.

The two in the video were low 1.5's, with a 1.52 being the best. I think it can cut some 1.4's though.
