11.9 FWD run

yo if your coulda caught traction just like a tad bit sooner you woulda won straight up.car looks great man fast as hell.:thumb:

Im going to say something that is going to get my flamed for sure but oh well. How come no one brought up that he lost to a civic? I mean all you guys do is bash hondas(I know its a dsm site) but no one even said anything about how fast that honda was.

to defend myself(being a honda owner) i enjoy all cars, not dissing dsms or anything, but if he would have beat that civic everyone would be talking about how he took down another honda.

dont be too harsh(crawling under desk for protection now)

If it was a honda then there was alot of work done to it, maybe over $15.000,

YOu have to have alot of money to hookup a honda to even run 11. (and when they do run that time, there not even reliable at all,

PLus when you turbo charge a Vtec you kill the whole piont of the motor. (honda trived to make a good all motor without using a turbo.) becuase they don't believe in turbo.

anyways keep them as an economy car, (becuase thats all there worth) a grocery getter.

I highly dought that, Tell me what you need to do in order to make a honda to go 11 sec ?

and I will check around and see the prices.

tell me smart boy

tsi4 - 15,000 to run 11's in a civic? um, you're a bit off...you really need to get your head out of your ass, hondas have come a long way - maybe if you were a tad more open minded you'd have noticed...

The civic did beat my car to the end, although I had the higher mph and ET. He got the jump at the light. It is a pretty quick honda, it has ran 11.70's if I hear the rumor mill right. Fast car = is fast car no matter wo makes it. Props to any quick imports. The honda ran 12.2 check the time slip:

Gut it!!!

From what the owners claim, A greedy turbo kit, a NOS kit, and alot of tuning. Thats all they say they have? They run a shop called speed inovations, and it appears they know what they are doing. I don't believe they have anything near $15000 in their civic though.

Is it hard to believe a sub 2000 lb car can run 11's with a little bit of power and some slicks?

If you want a checklist go over to honda-tech.com, they have a really good forced induction forum - and i'm sure they'll be more than willing to help a nice guy like you out...:thumb:

Nice run... It just kinda gives me hope for my ET goal being FWD. I never ran good slicks on my car, so I never really got to see how it would ET. The Talon should make about 150 more wheel HP than the Laser with a much more efficient setup (Laser went 129mph) so I wonder how far off the 10's could be with good driving? Wouldn't that be nice..

Regards,
