Unfortunately, no 11 second passes today. The car was a handful to launch after not trying it in 3 years. Not to mention, the coilovers, bushings and such that were upgraded, and the flywheel, made it tough to get back into it. I thought I might have been battling problems with bogging, instead I battled with spinning all 4 through first gear. I never ran better than a 1.79 60'. I think I will have to play with the suspension a bit and the alignment.

The day looked good when my first pass was [email protected]. The FMIC and FP Race manifold must have done their job as the best MPH I ever posted before today was 113.3.

Runs varied to as slow as 12.50:notgood: I could not find much consistency at all. Tire pressure was at 15 all around in the Nitto drags. Poorly prepped track and no prep at all during the time there...too bad.

Best pass was [email protected]:thumb:

Ran [email protected] to the 1/8--new best 1/8 mph

So, some good came out of today with best MPH. Those 11's just keep me at bay.

Guess that 337 ft-lbs. at the ground might be a little much.......ha.

Anyway, as much as I may want to give up, I'll rest on it and give it a shot again, but, never again at Lebanon Valley Dragway without some prep, the track blows.

It's time to hit NED again or one of the Jersey tracks next time.

Take care guys,

Phil

Hey man, it wasn't just you, I couldn't hook at ALL today either. I never got better than a 1.72... everything else was 1.8+.

Next time out on a better prepped track that car WILL see 11's. That trap will do it with ease. Was fun racing you:)

P.S. your car is beautiful:)

Phil,

Congratulations on the new MPH found power. I know you will get that elusive 11 easily. :thumb:

^^^I saved all the important stuff. Like I said earlier, you are there. Just gotta get to E-town or NED. Someplace that has a real launching pad. I really think you have the shift points down on the new power curve, just need to be able to launch. At LVD that's always a tough assignment.

Nice running today, Phil. She looks real sharp, guys.

If you can run a 12.04 @ 115 with a 1.79 60ft then you can easily so an 11.9X with a low 1.7X or 1.6 anything. Keep at it, with even a half prepped track you'll get that 11.XX timeslip. You should try lowering the launch RPM though, maybe it needs a little less power off the line with all that new found torque.

I was really hoping that you would've run 11s. You should know that you've inspired me to build a 14b car. I'm just going after the record alltogether, so will see what happens with an AWD car and some NO2. Good luck man and keep on working on it.

Wow how are you spinning out of the hole that hard? I was on some all-season sumitomo's doing a stutterbox at 5500 and didn't more than a squeek out of em. Either way stanford is definitely right. Shave a .10 of your sixty and you should be seeing 11's :thumb: I guess I should be taking my own advise huh? Too bad I haven't gone back since I ran my frustrating 12.0!

Tom, he honestly did a 4 tire burn out of the hole. LVD launching pad can be a bi***. I was actually in the stands for most of his runs (I had raced and hit my times so I turned to spectator). That thing was sideways out of the hole on a 5300 to 5500 launch (I can't remember which number at the time). That shouldn't be so.

blcknspo0ln,

How much boost were you running on your 12.0 pass?

60ft time?

Full interrior?

Just wondered how the 50 trim is performing (I have the non BB 5031 that I just got on the car but I haven't had a chance to get everything all buttoned up)

I look forward to adding to the DSM scene with Terry up at Muncie :D

low 12.XX or I am going to be

Awesome times! FonZ454 I thought low 12's on a b16g and pump was impressive(and still is) but damn low 12's on a 14b is amazing, Phil1320!

Good luck on 11's! :thumb:

Wow, I guess we can blame that on a crappy track then huh? Well, next time that thing hooks I'm sure it'll be in the 11's. That's quite the feat considering it's on a 14b. Seems like that little bugger is outrunning my BB50 :coy::)

blcknspo0ln,

Full interior with extra crap in the back, 24 psi falling to 21.5psi on 93 pump, 1.7 60.

Sweet, Thanks for replying. Gives me hope on 11's with a little less weight :D

What kind of A/F ratio were you running?

DSMLink and AEM UEGO told me I was bouncing between 10.8-12.5 OMG I had knock in the upper rpms in just 3rd (less than 2*) with peak timing of 15*. I can usually make WOT runs at a hearty 11:1.

With your setup, rev to the moon, NLTS with a nice sub 1.7 and you should be in the 11's no problem.

Back OT, I just re-read. You were at a track with nice weather, 15 psi on nitto drag radials and you all still spun? The track must have been ice that day :nono:

The cams aren't in the car yet. I might wait till this winter and build the motor(more than likely). Thanks for the tips they are appreciated :thumb:
