Is there such thing as too many runs in one day?

Hey guys, I am going to the track for the first time on Friday. The event that I am going to has the track open till 8:00 at night till 3:00 in the morning. So, I will have plenty of time to make as many runs as I want (I think), but is there a certain number of runs that I should hold to? Like, how many runs do you think I can get away with, without breaking anything? Thanks a lot

Car seems to run great
I will be running track tires for the front two tires

Everytime I've went to the track it's packed,so we try to get as many runs in as possible. As for running on a stock clutch, just make sure it feels the same as when you started. And make sure to let the car properly cool between runs.

I would have to agree and would also say that you know your car better than anyone else does. You will know when something seems off and it is time to take a break or check the car. I would just do a simple look over of everything in between runs just to make sure the car is good. Have you ever launched all out with drag radials on the front? I would be careful with launching really hard many times with radials because you know you will have really good traction. Just a couple of things to keep in mind. I'm sure you know most of this already just trying to help out.

You should have plenty of time just by the way the track is setup. I would just make sure it is at least ten minutes to make sure the car is still running good and is properly cooled off from the previous run.

i usually would let my car cool down enough so that the temp gauge isnt in the middle..so by the time i get through the waiting line the car is warmed up but the engine bay isnt incredibly hot.

Let us know how you did! good luck,I am super excited for my awd to run in the track!

So how did it go? Im hoping to make it up to gateway sometime but its a bit hard working m-f to make the 3 hour round trip. I would really like to see what the car would do in the 1/4 though, so hopefully i can get it worked out one of these days.

Wow this was a few months ago... anyway, I ran a 15.4 (spinning through 1st and then missing 4th) with a 2.4 60'. Now I got a few more "extra's" so we'll see how we do in a couple of weeks
