Well hopefully this thread doesn't turn into bitchfest 3000 so we can all have a civilized conversation. Got the driveshaft shop axles in and the MT slicks mounted up and got it back up for a test and tune. We got there at least an hour and a half late and the car was WAY detuned from trying to hook up last time. Well, it hooks up now. First run I babied it off of the line to make sure it would hook, and it worked out great. That run was a 10.98 at 131. We gave 'er the stick a little bit more for the next run but not too much cause Nate forgot to log the wideband on the first pass. I also gave her the stick on the launch cause I knew it would hook. 1.48 60 foot and onto a 10.65 at 133. We're getting there. Give us another test and tune and hopefully u guys can see a 10 flat or maybe 9 sec pass at the shootout. Videos will be posted shortly.

Not to mention it was still 85* with fairly high humidity. Earlier it was 102*. The car is coming off the line harder than ever and hopefully with a bit more power next week we'll get it lower in the 10s.

I still think at the shoot out you should challenge anyone that is in disbelief to go out and get some 94 octane, drain your tank and go run a 10 or even 9 just so you can shut anyone up. Congrat's on the time. Keep up the hard work.
 
OK, I'm sorry I don't understand the issue of how this would become a bitchfest. I'm unclear on the history of things. So if someone could clear them up I'd appreciate it.

Though IF that would cause a bitchfest, then don't answer me. :)

No matter what though, good job with that 10 second run!!

In another thread people had doubts and instead of trying to understand things they got way out of hand and became assholes. This thread will NOT become a bi*** fest so there are no worries.
 
Good Job Andrew! That is one hell of a 60ft. How much boost are you guys building on the line? Seem's it build boost pretty well off the 2step. Now If I can get my damn 60ft's down to 1.4's I would be golden for a 9 sec pass. But I am having alittle bit of an issue building boost on the line at my elavation. In seattle (at sea level) I was building damn near 15lbs on the line, here at home at 3000ft I can only build around 6-7lbs.

:) 2nd gear sneaked up on me. I wasn't ready for a 1.4 60. :) Don't worry, I normally no lift shift 2nd gear, just not that pass. We were building right at 30psi off the line. Thanks guys.
 
One hell of a nice run Andrew. I'll bet that 1-2 really caught you by surprise. She really leaves like a dream now.

That slip just shows how difficult it may be to get that 9.99. You will need to 60 significantly better than the already phenomenal 1.48 and trap at least another 5 mph to go quicker. Won't be easy but I wish you luck.

30psi off the line eh? I would like to see how many driveline parts I would break at the line if I did that. :D
