Decided to go out and try out the car with the cage in it today and some better tires. Attempted 3 passes.

Was scared to come out of the hole in the first pass

1.975 60'
4.861 330'
[email protected] 1/8th
9.071 1000'
[email protected] 1/4

Next pass I decided to try to come out of the hole and netted a broken left rear axle.

Final passed I ####ed out on the launch

?? 60'
4.685 330'
[email protected] 1/8
[email protected] 1/4

Oh well perhaps I can get it out of the hole next trip. But it drove back into the garage tonight so thats always a good track visit.

Tecnically street tires, they are DOT slicks. Like I said I was not using them at all, pulled better 60s on all seasons. I was too worried about breaking something, once the upgraded axles go in and the new tcase/driveshaft upgrade is done I can use them.

The 60' on the 10.4 pass was in the 1.7s I am sure comparing it to all the other 10 second slips I have. Running a race in Atlanta next weekend and then its time to turn up the power. Going to the dyno to add some timing, boost and perhaps more spray.

Oh shit just realized you hit 126, not sure how I missed that. Congrats man.

Boost still 30-31PSI relitavely low timing and the 50 shot. Nothing special, wish I had had the azenis with me would have probably trapped higher on them. Car is running much beter with the HG fixed ;)

Haha..thanks man. You could have missed it, I just ran that yesterday at 27-28psi. Still on the bone stock head (w/ 272's) and the bone stock intake manifold. Had to lower boost from the 30-31psi I had it tuned for since there was absolutely no traction whatsoever on those stock wheels/tires, had to let off a little in second for them to keep up. It was a little bit better at 27psi but not that much better. ROFL :toobad:

Good to hear your car's running great. :thumb: I think there's a 143-144mph pass in it from your 1/8th MPH. Very impressive John. Just need to hook. Good luck. :rocks:

I know it has a few more mph in it with just more timing. I have yet to grow the balls to put the 100 shot back in and put the boost back to 35 psi, taking small steps to make sure everything else is working right. I will say switching from 110 to c16 has made all the difference in the world.

What tires are on your car? I would have thought you would have pulled it into the 11s with that mph. I typically ran 25psi in the azenis to get the best traction. Congrats on your new best BTW

Awsome numbers ! Care to share engine specs ? I see you only have venders listed in your profile, thats why i ask.

Also great numbers to diambo4life.

Perfect, you basically have exactly what i want to build. All i need is a shortblock, intake mani, and the turbo setup.

If you were to do it again, would you have built yourself a stroker ? Or do you like reving out the 2.0.

I don't need a stroker for a turbo this small. And more TQ on the line would just lead to more broken parts, so the answer is no.

I wish I had access to C16. Car doesn't really like this 110 gas at anything over 27-28psi with the timing I want to run. I don't know what tires are on the stock wheels though. It's still in winter mode...LOL. Probably some shitty all seasons. ROFL My Azenis on the 17's (pic in my avatar) are worn out/bald so I will be buying a new set soon. I didn't seem to have traction issues as bad with those. :thumb:

I did run an 11.9 @ 125mph as well with a slightly better 1.90 60 ft, but again these 60's are TERRIBLE for me. Normally it's low 1.7's into mid 1.6x's. That is with 20psi (f) and 22psi (r) for tire pressure. Thanks for the congrats. I would love to go back and give it another shot before throwing the smim and ported head on. :boring:

I am still running a stock head. I am worried I am gonna spend all that cash and make no more power that would upset me greatly.

ROFL Thats the first time i heard of the 3065 as being a small turbo. ROFL

I remember watching you run 11.1 at Renegade and I couldn't believe how fast that was. Mid 10's WTF :thumb: damn that is crazy

3065 is just a GT30r. Definitely not a huge turbo. :sneaky: Anything bigger than a GT35R now is huge. :p

John, I got a very very good deal on the head, no way i would pass it up. We'll find out if it makes power or not. I will install both at the same time and hopefully, I gain 2mph. ROFL LOL

One thing i would like to switch is the plugs and go back to the BR8ES's that you are running. My car seemed to love those at high boost with the 110 octane. I am running the BR7ES, I love them since they don't crap out (foul up) as soon as the 8's, but they may be a little hot for my application. What do you think? I will try them and see what they do. Plugs are cheap anyhow.

Well it does still have the GT35 Compressor side to it. Just the smaller turbine side. STILL BIG! LOL

I always use 8s, they do foul out when doing a lot of around town driving seeing as I really don't get on it at al much on the street any more. But I change plugs as soon as I roll in the gates, its not like it much money or work.

I think I am going to try some bigger cams like some 272s next time out and make more power at this boost level. Almost every trip it ets quicker or faster, makes going to the track more fun. Best part is I have yet to 60' the car, use to pull 1.5s n the azenis when it was trapping 10mph less, soon with the new driveline parts I will get back there.

OH...I hear ya. I do get on the car all the time since I run 22-23psi on pump gas so not having to change plugs very frequently is a good thing. So far, I'm pretty happy with the stock ignition. 3-4yrs old Accel wires and those plugs, although, I do run a very small gap to keep them from misfiring >24psi.

Why not get the crower cams (or the FP3x's), I hear they are a little more aggressive than the 272's or are you like me, like sticking with something that has worked well for these cars for 10yrs +? :sosad:

I need to get some coilovers. I just found out today that my front suspension (well the springs, ) are broken. Some GC's are going on there next before I go back to the track. I do love those Azenis Sports though. I was cutting 1.6xs on them last fall and they were bald as a baby's ass. OMG Nice street rubber fo sho!

I am getting 272s because like you said they are proven and on top of that they are a lot more agressive than these webs.

Great mph there JohnTsi .I am ordering an FP3065 in next few days and hope to be able to turn some decent numbers like some of you guys.
I have a 2.4 6 bolt,crower rods,spring and stage 3s.Wiseco pistons,arp rod bolts and head studs,acl coated bearings,Jm fab smim,gt exhaust man,supra tt pump,950s,sx afpr .-6 an from tank.
I have maft and dsmlink for tuning.
Clutch is HD4000.Intercooler going with extremeturbo 10 inch one.Have cooling mist dual stage alco injection.
Will be buying apexi gt downpipe and catback.
I am pretty worried about killing my stock tranny and plan to run not much more than 20psi this year and doubt will track it until next year when hopefully can afford a tre or shep tranny and think 4 spider diff.My car is mainly a street car.It may see the track once or twice but at 11.5 they kick you off and not putting a cage in.
I also got my jm fab intake set up for direct port nitrous down the road.
Do you guys have any hope my tranny will survive and is 20psi still pretty fun on an fp3065 even on pump 94. I can mix up some homemade race once in awhile but although my engine should be plenty strong am worried about that center diff and the stock trans.
Also what is max boost on the 3065.?
And did you guys say should be ok with the 7ES for daily driving at 20psi or so?
Also I am going COP.Anyone know if you can gap the plugs bigger with COP?

You can run a lot more than 20 psi on a stock trans, transmission durabilty has a lot to do with driver to be honest. ANd yes with a good COP setup it should allow you to run more gap.

Exactly, look at evil_eagle, he runs mid 10's on a open diff stock tranny. ROFL The amount of boost you run will depend on the wastegate spring. You can put 2 springs in there that will net you to hold 30psi. :thumb:
