Just thought I would share with our DSM cousins:
What a day. Two things happened.
First I broke into the 140+ MPH...TWICE
Then I broke into 10's.
First 3S to break the 140MPH mark
First FWD 3S to break into 10's
It was still purring like a kitten and the track was starting to heat up so we figured we would bring her home running 100% AND with the records...A little "And it's still running" kinda thing. I am amazed it is still purring like a kitten. Stock NA 2 bolt block, used TT pistons and rods.
Never did get to run the nitrous. On the first run I tried 12psi in the new tires and the launch spun and 2nd gear didn't fully spin the tires but was hopping thru the entire gear so I didn't want to shoot it and break them fully loose. On the second run I lowered to 10psi and it hooked better and second was all grab so I didn't know how close to the edge I may be so I didn't want to ruin a good ET by spraying and breaking the tires lose.
I have vids...even of the car pulling into the pits after the second run running and showing the timeslip which will prove it is still tip top.
