Well I went to the import summer jam last night at firebird raceway here in boise idaho, I was the #2 qualifer of the quick 8, the #1 qualifer was Paul coggershaul with his low 10 sec honda insight, he missed 3rd gear in the 1st round and lost to my Good buddy with his low 11 second civic hatch. I ended up winning the quick 8 and got a nice jacket and big trophy.

Ok on with the results, we all thought the race was going to be canceled as it rained for a good 2 hours and soaked the track, if finnally cleared up and they dried the track, but left the track nothing but garbage for traction. My best 60ft of the day was a misserable 1.89 60ft, I am still on low pro 40 series toyo proxies tires not drag radials, just good ole street tires, stock tranny still with open diff and 17" rims.

New setup is this

fp3575 turbo
3" upper innercooler pipe
mustang throttle body
freshened up head
new cometic HP head gasket

I got my best MPH ever out of this setup

My 1st pass was with 26lbs of boost and went this

pro tree
r/t .152
60ft 1.893
330ft 4.994
1/8th 7.443
mph 103.35
1000 9.505
1/4 11.218
mph 131.84

2nd pass I turned the boost up to 28lbs
r/t .171
60ft. 1.907 :notgood:
330ft 5.172
1/8th 7.584
mph 105.22
1000 9.606
1/4 11.297
mph 134.30

My 3rd pass was the same as my 2nd pass as I did not make any adjustments

My 4th pass for the finals and the win to take home with me, I did this straight up 30lbs
r/t .046
60ft 1.948
330ft 5.112
1/8th 7.479
mph 107.21!!!
1000 9.479
1/4 11.144
mph 136.67!!!!!

I was so excited to see that MPH, knowing that if I ever hooked up with my normal 1.60 60ft times I get I would have been around 10.50's 10.40's. I have yet to begin to tweak this new setup on the AEM, I still have alot more tuning to do and still reaching my 35lbs of boost run. Damn I need slicks bad!!! the damn thing felt like I was on a wet road all the way down the track, alittle hairy if you ask me.

Car is right at 3250lbs with me in it, still daily driven, drove out to the tracks and drove home.

Really wish this track here would prep the damn track better for the imports, but they really could care less about the imports so they save money and time by not spraying the track like they should.

Next time out I will be at 35lbs of boost and slicks and hopefully come close to my 140mph goal, then it will be all but nothing but work to get into the 9's.

This 3575 turbo is the shit!!! I love this turbo, the top end is just insane, I was pulling 1st gear to 9500rpm rev limit bounceing off the rev limiter in 1st gear, 2nd gear came in at 9300rpm, 3rd gear came in at 8900rpm and I crossed the traps at 8100rpm in 4th gear.

Thanks to Forced performance for all the help and great products!!

I was at the same event last night, car was looking badass out there Jake, and nice job on that win. Its really too bad Hai Tran redlighted for the last round, it was a badass match up none the less. And yeah, track conditions weren't exactly great. The best 60ft I pulled last night was a 2.5 :(. and it was kinda cool that Paul Cogeshall came down for the event with his Honda Insight, he was having nothing but problems.

How often do you rebuild trannies? Hows it like shifting at 9500 rpms OMG

I have had this tranny in for about 8 months now, have not had to tear into it, but I am sure I will soon.

As far as the slicks I was looking at getting the M&H 24/8.5/15" slicks. I would love to do the hoosier quick time pros, but I would have to raise the car and do more work to get them to fit right since they are 26" tall slicks.

I think 140mph is in the very near future, right now I am trying to get some more weight out of the car without loosing streetability of the car.

I give you mad props for making it down the track with a stock tranny 4 times and not breaking it, with the amount of power that thing is pushing. Nice times :thumb:

Very nice. How much potential do you thing it still has? I'm sorry I didn't make it out there, the talon started to run worse the night before.

How's it doing for being consistent?

Congrats on the new best MPH :) Obviously your ET's will drop once you get a good 60 and you'll be in the low 10's!

great times and crazy mph. What kind of spool times are you getting on that turbo?

I was seeing 30lbs of boost by 4700rpm, the turbo spools damn good for what it is, and it hits so damn hard. It throws you back like you would not beleive.

That is crazy MPH. You get that thing hooked up you will be staring 9 seconds right in the face. My Chevy II ran a best of 9.73 at 134, so if your running 136 on new set up you can probably get more MPH out of it. I know the cars are totally different but you should be in the low tens for sure if you get her to hook.

The stock trans can take some abuse. Tort's 134k original box has seen more low 11 sec. passes than most people's built trannies. It was fine until this year, when the t-case popped along with the center diff. It probably would've been fine with a new diff, but we didn't realize the diff also blew until after we replaced the t-case and went for a spin. At that point, some of the broken gear must've worked it's way down and got between the case and the front diff, and cracked the case. Had we known, we could've thrown a 4 spider in and he'd probably still be running it.

Get some susp. and tires and put that thing in the 9s without spray! :thumb:
