Hey

After being a dsm owner for about 2 years and 2 dsms I FINALLY made it to the track. My mods are in my profile.

R/T ... .545
60' ... 2.458 :notgood:
330 ... 6.483
1/8 ... 9.639
MPH ... 79.58
1000 ... 12.327
1/4 ... 14.612
MPH ... 98.26

So I think the potential is there but I sucked it up. I got distracted by the other guy staging and then the lights started to drop so I hurry and revved it up and dropped the clutch way to quick. I watched the rpms drop from around 5k all the way to 1.5k. Had to be the worst launch I've done in a while.

One of the greatest experiences ever though. ;) :thumb: I don't think I've ever been that focused on anything (after the launch obviously).

Picture of my car before staging can be seen here. I would have posted it but I don't know how to resize the pic because it's huge. Picture

Feedback, opinions, or whatever welcome and encouraged.

I know its tuff but next time you go to the track dont worry about the guy next to you, unless you set up a race with that individual. When I took my Turbo Avenger out the first time I was so worried about the other guy I didn't pay attention to the tree or my revs or how I launched etc etc that my et's/60 ft where horrible. Finally someone gave me the advice and said worry about what I was doing not the other guy. So sure enough the next few times I was at the tree I just worried about what I was doing even though the guy next to me is gone halfway down the track and I'm still at the tree just getting my revs perfect and setting up for my launch. Yeah I might of looked like a fool sitting there a few times but I got my launches down and worked on getting those 60 ft down that I became very consistent. After awhile I could go head to head and beat the same guys that where getting me every time buy just a few 1/10ths before. Hope this makes sense. good luck

Thanks man. I've always wanted to have a clean dsm so when I got my new one I went to town on making it look at least half decent. To bad it's slow LOL.

Well the MPH is ok, with a better launch you could probably see some 13's.
Yeah that's about what I was thinking. Hopefully I'll get the good launch next time.

Yeah i totally hear you. I got caught up with the wrong stuff. I should have just watched the tree and blocked everyone and everything else off. I figure it was my first time down at the track actually racing so I was bound to mess up on something.

Thanks for the comments. Keep them coming.

I have no idea on the camera. Some guy posted up pics on a website I visit. He might have mention what kind camera he had in the thread. If you are really interested PM me and I'll check it out for you. :thumb:
