Well like the title says, i have never actualy raced at a track before...sure ive played that nitto game LOL, and my dad has driven and ive seen plenty of races, but i was a nooB...so heres how it went. i was in the very first pair to go of the nite...me vs. a 97 prelude SH w/intake, header, and exhaust. He staged way before me so by the time i got the second bulb on the lights started to go and i wasnt ready...i ran a 15.09...i was shocked... i got used to it. its so fun, oh yah i got the win light to a 15.37...It was about 50 degrees outside...im in Phx, AZ. i dont know the elevation, only thing my car had was HKS carbon ti cat back, not back seats or spare tire, and 18 lbs of pressure in the front tires...the best run of the nite wentl like this

Reaction: .787
I1: 2.207
I2: 6.151
1/8..wasnt working???
E.T. 14.798
mph. 92.237

then my fastest 60ft time was a 2.171 but the e.t. was 14.820 at 91.119..my best reaction was .508, they gave $100 to the best reaction and i won!!!

do you think the car should be faster, or is that about right? or what...do i need to work on my 60ft times...i have 17" konig theories, w/ kumho ecsta 205x40 tires...i raced an SRT-4 i was pulling him to the 2nd timer...dont know what its called i was at 6.149 he was 6.193, his react. was 1/10 better than mine, my 60ft was 2/10 better than his, but he ran a 14.2 at 99...he was all stock, i think i need some more top end???

Honestly, your 60' times are pretty good. Anything from 2.0-2.2 is good for fwd on street tires. It's incredibly hard to beat that w/out radials, slicks, or suspension work. I'd throw a MBC on and turn the boost up to 17lbs. You could probly get into the low 14s, judging from the car's performance as is, on just a cat-back.
For comparison, when I was on my T25 at 18-20lbs w/a cat-back, intake, and afc I went 14.6 at 96 heatsoaking the whole way.

that is a good reaction time!! my first time at the track in my old del sol i got a perferct .500 reaction time, when i got back to the staging lane everyone was saying good driving and I was confused because I ran a 16.1, i didn't get it until later

Nice driving. And good times :thumb:

I ran a 14.8@90mph bone stock with a 1.934 60 foot. This was my first time launching/racing an AWD car also. Now I have some bolt on mods. Not sure what I would run now.

thx for the replies guys...im gonna go back this thursday and see if i can do any better...might put some 103 octane in LOL...i just ordered the BigT28, so as soon as i get that and some supporting mods, hopefully they will drop significantly...

I toyed w/the notion of throwin some race gas in the tank when I was on my T25. I really wanted to get low 14s or possibly 13s out of it. Just never got around to it. Cuz I could feel the car just yanking timing all the way down the strip.
