Leon, No sorry I did not catch that run but I herd about it from a friend that was there. That is a really amazing time for such a tiny turbo.
Do you know who I am by the way? I am bruce K's friend if you have not put 2 together. :) any way I had just got a new computer with video software on it so I had to post that vid, I have other 1g runs aswell if you want to see.

So many guys running 11's on the 14B now, makes me want to forget about buying a B16G. Good job :thumb:
 
So Leon, when can a catch a 10 second run to post up?
 
Yes Absolutely, I will be at the next import wars June 26th to see you race the supra, it should be a great race.

Try to get that passenger door painted as well for the race, you don’t want to ruin the look of that nice paint job.
Throw the wing on for fun to fit in with the other imports at the race. ;)

Yes I know how things are when your trying to get your car ready for a specific day and timing doesn't workout with the body shop and everything else at once. Its taken a while for me to get my 1g even on the road, Bruce has been fighting to get the proper paperwork I need to get the title in my name. I myself am trying to get my car ready and moded for the summer.

Question, do you have any experence with the Buschur Front mount? I am going to try to install it at my buddys shop and wanted to know if you knew a procedure that worked best for install. I am going to focus on just the install and drive home front bumper-less and worrie about cutting later. They have a saws-all so cutting for piping shouldn't be too hard if there is. Thanks Leon

Leon is the only All-Wheel Drive car doing it. All the others are FWD. That FWD lite-weight advantage is what has 3 or so FWD's in the 11's.

But nonethe less, all the low numbers some of us 14b powered T/E/L's are putting down needs to make everyone re-think there modding approach.

The low time comes from the launch out of the hole, pulling a 1.6 60 foot with a small turbo and supporting mods is what it takes to make nice numbers at the track. If your a street guy like you or I and most others on the forum you need to consider a bigger turbo. The 14b just doesn't cut it on the street, top end, on the high way, or from a roll. Its not worth that set up for a Street car or even a race car, it runs out of breath top end.

Not flaming but its really not worth the time porting and tuning a small turbo with an elaborate setup that runs out of breath top end. And to get thoes numbers you need to have motor work done, Cams, aftermarket intake manifold, Front mount, etc. If your going to put all that into your car, why not upgrade the turbo? I under stand it is an incredible accoplishment but just not too realistic. Again Not flaming just stating a point that with a bigger turbo even a small 16g for a few hundred dollars is a far better mod than keeping a stock turbo. And if your on a budget and your cars stock, buy a 16g, afc and a fmic and you will be fast. :)

Wait a minute what did I miss? Leon I thought you already had a built engine from slowboy and one of their Gt series turbo's?
 
I am using SBR Stage 2 short block. But it is nothing special, it has 8.5:1 compression and other components heavier than stock OEM. Frankly, a 2G bottom end would be better suited for 14b, because everything is much lighter.

I used GT13 turbo last year, but it is now gone. This time, I put 14b back on, solely to try to back the record and it worked :).

I sort of agree with you, my car is well past the 14b in the mods structure. Originally, I went back to a 14b as a “break-in” turbo. I also noticed just how much power it gave me so thought I would try it out at the track. That was when I ran 12.05.

Part of the reason to do this was to show people that you do not need Frank level 10+ to go fast (this was back in '00). I think that I made my point :).

Even now, I still can’t get over just how little difference there is between a big turbo and a tiny 14b
 
Leon, That is amazing how the 14b can compare to the times cars with bigger turbos do, but it limits the car so much to a 1/4 mile racer. I dont know how good that is for the turbo to be in "warp speed" but hey while it lasts, have fun and attract some attention ;)
You should dyno the car with the 14b vs the GT-13's old power numbers to see what the power difference is:)
In the quarter mile, I bet that over the 100mph mark, the difference would be greater.

I was considering either the B16G or a 20G, I race on the highways alot more, but a 11 second 14B shouldn't have THAT much of a drop off in the top end. Although I am sure a 20G 11 second car would be able to outrun a 14B 11 second car from a highspeed race.
 
wow after seeing that i wanna sell my garret gt3255 turbo and go to a 14b if thats all i need LOL
 
I can't wait to get my FP GREEN, top end is where I want to be.
