ok here we go, i was on my way to school and my buddy ben who drives a 92 VW GTi 5spd, so we were doing about 50 then he goes to pass me, and i didnt see him till he was close to my bumper then i floored it(i have an auto) and we were doing about 90 and he stayed about a half car length behind me then we had to turn into school, so i was a bit dissappointed i didnt smoke him, i mean he's got a gti 105HP and i have a GSX 215hp auto, but he does have his a/c removed,no cat,, and no back seats probaly weighs 2200 or less and mine 3300,so u gotta concidered power to weight ration.... and it was kinda up hill and i know a 5spd is better uphill then an auto, and i dont think i am running the full power of my car, casue my BOV(blitz) is on the stock flange and isnt really on their, falls off once a week, so i am sure i am have a boost leak, and it wasnt like i nailed it when he did, i floored it when i saw him passing me.. now i am thinken of changing to a 5spd i guy told me it cost him for his 97 GSX 1800 w/ labor :dsm: o and he went to driving school he can drive a 5 spd really good, he races upstate like on dirt roads"Rallye racing"

Automatics are that bad man..Invest the money into building the tranny, shiftkit, end clutches etc. You would be surprised how autos can be quick too and more reliable.
