Went again last night with race gas.

My previous best from last week on PUMP gas was

13.8 @ 101.94mph with a 2.32 60'

Last night I only got 4 runs in, and I screwed up launching the last 3, as I was trying to improve my R/T as well.

My best run was

13.501 @ 104.10 mph with a 2.285 60'

Unfortunately my logger died right after that run. I was at 17psi for that run, and got 0 knock. I didnt want to try tuning in the dark, so I let it be for last night. A few logs this morning shows 19-20 psi STILL not getting any knock, so the car has some more room for next week :)

Best mph last night was 105.20 mph bouncing off the rev limiter in 3rd gear.

which gas were you using?
What was your 1/8th mile. I pretty much have same mods, with suspension mods. but i havent had a chance to go to 1/4 mile track. But have been to 1/8th, so im just trying to compare our times.

well that gives me some confidence seeing as i've already trapped 104 before but didn't get under 14 flat. can't wait to head to the strip on the 12th now :)

8.881 @ 84.68mph :)

vp-110 gas

man traction must be nice my 1/8th was 9.207 @ 82.72 mph but i still trapped 104 :D

traction!!!??? what the hell is traction!?

what kinda 60's were you getting? My run last night was a 2.285, street tires, but dropped em down to 25psi or so. Last week I only managed a 2.3something, my 1/8 last week on pump gas was 9.063 @ 82mph :) 1/4 of 13.8 @ 102mph

I rewired my fuel pump yesterday, have the boost set at 16psi as of right now, no knock!!! Might give 17 a shot tomorrow :D

That's a hell of a time.

My mods will be pretty much be the same whenever my downpipe and catback get here. Do they really make that much of a difference? With free mods, air filter, and MBC set at 15 on 91 octane the best I could muster was 14.601 @ 93.98 mph with a 2.3 60ft. 1/8 mile trap of 75.68 mph.

I'd be great to be trapping 100 mph+, but I'm realistically looking at 96-97 with the same mods. What's the secret?

my 60's are like 2.3 or so at around 24-26 psi cold. problem is my tires sucked (eagle rsa's:rolleyes: ) it must be the different gearing then or something although i've never really had a clean run yet to date. my nt tranny will only get me to about 80-85 or so before i shift out of it (stock 1990 cams  x2) cuz my topend is kinda weak above 6500 rpm. although i'm really anxious to try the car out now since i'm running 17psi, no balance shafts, a better muffler (ultraflow dynomax), 7cm exhaust housing from a big 16g and absolutely no knock on 93 octane. i've got a 190lph from a 3000gt vr-4 and am running higher than normal fuel pressure with an sx adjustable regulator. i think this has alot to do with why i can get away with 17 psi on stock injectors and no other fuel control other than a hacked mas.

those 1990 cams are workin for me :D Both weeks I was shifting at 6500 in first and 2nd, and rode 3rd out till the end :D I probably should've been hitting 4th last week, as I was bouncing off the rev limiter on 2 runs :D

Those are some good numbers you're getting on your 14B FWD car...

I've been going to the 1/8mile track lately, mostly to work on my 60', and I still cant get it lower than 2.55, I know what my problems are though... and as soon as I fix them, I should be getting better squeezing times out of my 14b...

Do you guys with early 1g's are running on full weight?

no i've got a bit of weight missing from mine and am really hoping to drop some good 60's with decent shocks now. before i only had eibach springs and blown shocks. i might even be ordering my tires soon :)

the 90 cams aren't too bad, i mean i usually run til about 6500rpm myself, but since i'm crossing the line in 4th anyways there's no point for me to hold on to 3rd gear past that by any amount. the 7cvm housing on my 14b seems to be helping a little bit on the top end, but then again i added it along with the balance shaft elimination and a full rebuild all at the same time so i don't have a really good comparison between the 6cm and the 7cm housings.

I was full weight my first week, this week I pulled the spare tire. Didnt seem to affect my 60' much.

On launching, My first night, I was getting 2.5+'s every run, until I finally started taching it up to ~3500 rpms and then quickly slipped the clutch. This resulted in 3 2.3's that night, and my 2.28 this past week. I still think I can pull some better 60's but we'll see :)

i was launching around 4000rpm in mine and on a sticky track it would spin most of first and then bite hard in second. hopefully that will be the case still, if not i'll continue my 2 stage mbc setup.
