Hey guys, I went to the track Wednesday for some racing and after getting whooped by a AMC Rambler with a Buick Grand National engine swapped into it, I decided to wait for some imports to show. Finally I see a silver 240 with a front mount and I knew he had an sr20det. I ask if he wants to race since I am looking for some good competition. So after he unbolts his exhaust and sets the boost to stock for a baseline we head to the lanes. We line up and I end up beating him by about 3 cars. I ran 13.7 at 100 mph and he runs a 14.6 at 99 mph. We line up again and this time I run a personal best of 13.6 at 99 mph and he runs a 14.2 at 100 mph. He said he turned up the boost but I don't know how much. I thought sr20's would be faster but then again this was his first time at the track and I don't think he was running that much boost. I had a good time though. What do you guys think?

Sounds like fun to me!

The SR20's times are fairly decent, although, with that 100 mph trap, he should be right up there with you in the 13.7 range.

Good job, though... looks to me like your win came more from driver skill as supposed to car strength (since same trap speed).

edit: Now I see... his first time at the track... still a good race though.
