Ok so after valentines dinner with my wonderful girlfriend we were coming home and this cobra was along side me the whole tme. So about a mile or two before my exit he drops it and tries to take of so I dropped it to 4th and started to pull hard but my t25 starts to spike to 20psi. So after pulling on him every 3 seconds my car hits fuel cut and he stays with me the whole time Im bucking. I was just thinking that my car must be pretty decent when Im staying with a modded cobra while hitting fuel cut...oh well if I didnt I would have destroyed him.
Andrew

Oh yeah this was from a 40mph roll on the highway...and it was on a straightway with no other cars.

At least you pulled him...What year cobra was it ? How much HP are you running ?

It was a pre s/c cobra I think but he had i/h/e and a couple of other mods. I would say 99-02 if it was s/c then oh well, we were going back and forth on rt 100 and then he just got sick of it so he dropped it and so did I. As far as hp at this stage in my mods (only need a turbo for stage one to be done) I would say 250-275 maybe but Im lighter and pull a bit harder in the top end. Not to mention the cobras are no slouch.

(i would have gone to 2nd)

well with the lighten flywheel and a straight exhaust my car revs quicker and I build full boost at almost any rpm. But it is the t25 so not much but still.
Andrew

looks like your off to a good stop but for the love of god please get rid of that t-25

remember my name cause you'll thank me

Haha I just purchased a ported and clipped b16g so I think Ill be alright. Thanks for the advice...and trust me Ive been trying to get rid of it.
Andrew

suhweet great news to hear

your gonna love it and also btw - as soon as you boost on the bigger turbo you will be officially hooked and trapped forever LOL

Yeah I had a mean T25 too. I once left a 67 mustang with cams soo loud I could'nt hear my own motor over his rumble. Out of the hole I never saw him again. My friends said I had gotten a huge jump on him (3 or 4 cars) and that he was comming for me in a hurry. But I still got the "W"... :dsm: :dsm:

But now that I have the 16G I would never go back. Big Power all the way to redline.

For some strang reason I keep about 13psi to 6200 when I shift...That doesnt mean I pull as hard as 13psi should, but its still pretty good at the top. But Im awaiting the big16g and cant wait for the pull.
Andrew

Andrew, you're defidently gonna have to let me ride in that beast w/ the big 16G. Hopefully I get my Big T28 Killer out of the position I'm in.

you might think you have top end now but you'll change you mind later LOL

if you don't put a 16g or bigger turbo on soon then my advise is get over to FP and but their 17psi actuators

then you can hold 17psi of boost to redline - that would be your best mod for the $$

Yeah sure Ill show you as soon as I get it chris...I could only dream about holding 17psi to redline..Im hoping this turbo will make it come true:thumb:
Andrew

yeah you will have no problem- this weekend i was tweaking my boost controller before i went on the awd dyno. i drilled a tiny hole in it to try and fix the signal lock i had been getting. well I couldn't find a small enough drill bit and so the hole ended up being to large. I went for a test drive and immediately i was seeing the boost spike to 24 psi. I was like whoaaa settle down. LOL - ps a little JB weld fixed that hole :)

If your ever in md before this weekedn Ill take you for a ride...3k comes REALLY fast and after that its pretty fast. But this weekend Im hopefully putting on the b16g.

HAHA funny you say that it is ported and clipped...I cant wait I have to go to extreme shortly to pick up a turbo to mani gasket.
Andrew

thats funny you say that cause 2 of my friends with almost free modded 1gens intake, open exhaust, boost controll - could keep within 1.5 cars of my 16g powered 2g

Basicly he's either full of crap or the Cobra is slow as hell. 4th gear from 40mph with a t-25 is SLOW light fly wheel or not. If he could drive and would have dropped it into 2nd he would have murdered the cobra if it was close in 4th.

yeah now that I think about it 4th gear is good for 120mph a pull from 2k rpm would be doggish
