Hey everyone! I've been in the Metro Detroit area for decades, but decided two months ago to get into a DSM from Hondas and such.

Completely stock 1998 Eclipse GST with 124,000 miles as of January 31st, now close to 129,000. I purchased for $3,000 as the second owner since 1998 :D

So far I've changed the driver's side wheel bearing and axle, o2 sensors, evo8 wheels on Continental extremes, 3" turboback traded for the oem wheels, shifter base and cable bushings, eliminated "eclipse" and front license plate, skunk2 shift knob, and tuned her up.

I plan to change the timing belt and components, eliminate the balance shafts, water pump, belts, valve cover gaskets, lifters, Crower 272s cams, vrsf intercooler kit, 1g bov, k&n filter with piping, then decide on 16 or 20g upgrade and go from there, even considering going awd :hmm: Cosmetics: buffing, bandana door and sunroof panel, and legal tint.

Yes I work at the tattoo shop next to there, we're working on getting our sign up by the end of April.

I traded the oem wheels for my exhaust.

As an update I just installed my Nokya hyper yellow low beam bulbs and am purchasing my timing belt kit, lifters, water pump, and belts from stm tuned tomorrow night :thumb:

Is eliminating the balance shafts beneficial in any way?

Yes, there's write-ups all over. For what I plan to do it isn't necessary, but in the long run it might as well get done.
