Fall Meet

Hello Hello, seems it's been a minute since anything has went down as far as the local DSM scene, so let's go ahead and toss around a few ideas for us to link up. Wednesday/ Thursday meets sound nice, as that will give us something to do midweek. The weather is getting cooler so even things as simple as meeting at a park and bbq'ing some hot dogs might work. Chime in and let's get this local scene started back up.

I'm bumping this thread to help get this meet going, I'm down, I've been piecing my 1G back together for a while and need to swap stories with other DSMers. When/where are you thinking?

No big idea right now. Belle Isle might be good. Local, space, can bbq. Smaller parks in Southfield like Inglenook. I'm up for ideas as well.

Nile good buddy, there is no detroit dsm scene theres people here and there, mostly in there own little groups...its a shame really ild like to have a weekly meet\hang out spot...woodwards lame..mostly a bunch of kids that bought their cars with mom and dads money...

There used to be a big scene friday nights at a shopping center around Inster called Redline. I havent had my finger on the pulse for some years dunno if its still happening. If you go out on woodward thurs or friday nights thats were everyone went after the meet im talkin 40-50 cars. Let me know what you put together.

Damn, I remember going to those. It's been years since I've been out there, not sure they even happen anymore? I've noticed a lot of the cars on Woodward are driven by punk kids, not to offend anyone who does go on Woodward just my recent experiences. I think a weekly meet needs to become established, first a time and place need to be established.

Back in the day I used to have a meet every Tuesday night at the Buffalo Wild Wings in Sterling Heights. Usually about 10-20 guys. We'd shoot the shit in the parking lot for a little bit, then go inside get a big table and drink beer and eat chicken. I'd be down for something like that. I'm to old now to stand around in the cold tho...
