Hey guys, new to the forums and new to my 1992 gsx Eclipse. I'm currently having it rebuilt but i am wondering what kinda turbo and or mods i could put into it. Its pretty much stock but i am having the guy put in forged pistons, as of right now, other than that it is stock. So what could i do that could boost my power but not ruin my engine in the long run. Larger turbo's and what not? thanks for your input, mind you i am only 16 and have a bit to learn about cars so be nice :)

Pretty much to make the car the fastest i can within the budget of around 1500 dollars if that is at all possible, mind you i forgot to mention i already have a turbo backed exhaust and a boost control (not digital) and boost gauge.

i have the same thing, 1992 eclipse GSX, and ive dropeed only 1800 into it, but its not done yet. keep in mind i have connections like no other. heres what ive done on 1800$

new head, block, cams, eagle rods and pistons, stainless valves, rockers, springs, lifters, gaskets, the basic full rebuild but with aftermarket parts

block bored .20 over, valve job done, head and block decked, crank micropolished, lightened and balanced,

new evo III 16g turbo, new intake, turbo back exhaust,

new Greddy stage 3 trany kit (gears, synchros, short throw cables, bushings, etc.)[in the car when i bought it]

thats bout it. not running yet, rebuilding it right now. just finishing up. but ya, thats bout what you can do with bout 1500.

Hrmm So what could i get done, having nearly NO connections what so ever?

You're going to have to expand your budget if you want to do the upgrades that you're talking about. A turbo upgrade will involve fuel upgrades and a lot of other little things along the way.
