Anyone planning on going to Pinks All Out at Norwalk on June 7. I'm tired of seeing all the old muscle cars on pinks, it would be pretty cool if there was a bunch of dsm cars there.

I am planning on going and watching. The 400 cars that are going to be racing have already been pre chosen. There has to be some DSM's there though, Norwalk is like the heart of DSM country.

for the love of god would john shepherd step up and take his car to walk the shit outa some muscle cars. Jesus christ whats he waiting for........

The hard part about that is they like to pick cars that are exactly in the 10.0 to 10.5 range... So Shep would just be too fast.:D

I'm pretty sure buschur will take thier daily driven evo's.If they came to my area we have a TON of street cars in that 1/4 mile et range.

If you'd read the thread in the hangout, you'd have seen he is/was planning on it. :thumb:
Buschur also has a spot but is unsure on which car he is going bring as of yet. He's pretty sure he would get kicked out with his personal evo since it isn't caged.

Its real hard to compete against a drag car with a trans brake. Or cars cant match the consistancy reation time after time like a trans brake can.
Im sure david will make a showing with all there shop cars to get some "air'' time.
It would be more fair to give the non trans brake cars a handicap as far as spots.
If you ever get an opportunity to run your car on all out dial it in for 10.0s- 10.20s and see what happens. There are only a hand full of cars in the 8s so that would be a waist of time.

I'll be running at pinks all out Norwalk.

The last all-out they had before thankgiving, the et class was 12.50!!!

So everyone has the same shot to make it to the finals, cause you dont know what class their
gonna run!!:shhh:

Anybody seen this quote.....Is it true???

"I think one of the rules for the show is, the cars mods have to be under 10K dollars?"

I think that would rule just about any dsm out....

what the hell!! why? no way, some of those muscle cars have more than $100k under their hoods...ROFL

pretty ### rule if you ask me....so they want our cars or sport compact imports to run on all ssautoshit parts??

Like i said , it was a quote... I've been looking for an hour for rules, but all i keep finding specifically is , door cars only, and compliance to NHRA rules. Which most likely refer to cage if need be, scattershield if needed, and of course being 16 y/o...

Rules?

12.99 or faster, door cars only.

Other than that, it's up to the track to determine what's "safe".

At the event in Tucson all you needed was a helmet, a car with 4 wheels and doors that opened.

The tech guy even admitted they were just going thru the motions because that's what the Pinks staff asked them to do.

There are no "class rules" because it's all heads up/run what you brung racing.

With that said, these events fill up fast. You can't just show on the day of the event and expect to run.

NRP sold out in 12 minutes, RRR sold out in a day and a half.

If you want to run one of these events you have to go after the entry just like you would major event tickets.

Hal

There is no 10,000 dollar rule, and I think all of the tickets are sold out for the Norwalk event.

I believe all the tickets/openings for people wanting to run are sold out. But I still believe you can buy spectator tickets. As far as Norwalk Raceway's website says they sold out of open spots to run in 12 minutes :D

So who all went to this event? I wanted to drive over just to watch but of course gas is a killer.
