cams for dsm 86hta??

I finally went to a 86hta with a bolt on housing. Looking for a suggestion on cams. I am trying to get the car back into street car mode. I kinda have it down to the bf272 or GSC S3 cams. I still have the ability to re past 10K but I am hoping with the new turbo to get the power shifted to the left a bit, so help me out here...what cams would you run?

I hate my BC 280's too.. impossible to start the engine with them... I heard really good things about kelford 272's, might wanna look into them?

Guys the BC 272 and BF 272 are completely different. BF is buschur made.

Ah, thought it was a typo. I have no experience with buschur products, but i habe no doubt they probably kick ass. I vote S2 or S3

my only worry is going to small but I don't want to over do it either. How do the S2 compare to like a HKS 272?

Based from the info you posted and turbo, I really feel like the bolt on housing is going to limit you on power on top so I wouldn't run really high lift exhaust cam, with that bring said I wouldn't go any bigger than kelford 276/272 or even the 264/260 since you said street car.

Hks272 all day erryday. My he351 is similar in specs to your dsm86. I have power peak at about 7000, bt still make good power to 9000. The 86 may like going a little higher.

Everyone pushed these kelfords and gscs but so amny have gone super fast with the old hks272

I guess the specs on my motor and head might help...2.0 aluminum rod motor 9:1 compression the head is set up with ferret dual springs ferrea valves can rev past 10k

I would go with the BF. On evos, Dave showed a large gain over many other competitors "272" cam.
