Another noisy head. Normal?

Just installed a set of delta 274 regrinds. Read a few threads about installing a #10 washer in each lifter hole. I bled my lifters and installed the shims. Started the car and got the "first start tick". Lifter tick cleared up one by one and now the head is just noisy. No ticking noise per say but sounds like some new cars do. Is this normal? Im using lifters out of a 99 right now that have 60k on them. Do i need to pull the valve cover and check for play in the rockers? Thanks!

Lifters have been in my car about 20k now. I do get a lifter tick while driving since the cam install. Noise goes in and out. But idle is more of a chatter then lifter tick it seems. Doesnt sound like my old lifters at idle. Ill see about getting a video tonight.

HLA = Hydraulic Lash Adjuster. The technical name for what we call "lifters".

Definitely get a video when you can. There are dozens of things that could be making the noise, and I'm sure guys like Bogus have heard just about all of them.

I made a video but never got around to putting it on the internet with the holidays n such. I guess it was something to do with the lifters not pumping up causing loose rockers or something. Over the passed few days everything has been getting quieter and have much more of a loppy idle as the 274's should.
