So, I had this noise coming from the head of my engine and I was pretty sure that it was lifter tick. I replaced the lifters with the revised version and the noise is still there. Any ideas? This is a post '97 GST with a 7bolt. It's not a swap, I just have a 1G BOV and a 6 bolt valve cover.Eclipse GST ticking - YouTube20121208 162435 - YouTube If you listen to the video that's titled GST ticking, you can hear the noise at 20 seconds and I'll start to play with the throttle to make the noise. It occurs around 2000 rpm and will go away around 4500rpm. And, the second video is much easier to hear the noise. It first occurs at 25 seconds and then it's really noticeable again at 35 seconds. It is for sure not the lifters, I just replaced them with brand new ones and they were bled properly. It's not the timing belt cover either because, I just did the timing belt and this noise was here before and after and the covers are bolted down and secure, no movement. :hmm::banghead:
