my car jumped timing while i was starting to crank it up one day. I did a compression test and came up with 0 in three cylinders so i removed my head. I seen that my pistons are scarred a little. Can i still use them? no holes or anything just a little scuffed up. Thanks guys!

Make sure to smooth any knicks/dings, you don't want to have hotspots.

thanks man! what about the head? what are the chances i messed that up? it never ran with bent valves though

If your valves are bent, take it to a good machine shop and have them replace the the valves and valve guides.

what some good valves and valve guides to get? where should i order them from?

Engnbldr is a good guy. I have run this stuff and it's quality.

Do you have a local shop that is reputable for working on these heads? The only reason I ask is some shops tend to just lean to the v8 market and like my local shop they don't have much in tooling to get the job done. The guy I use for head work actually bought tools just for my work. Of coarse I had to wait for weeks for him to get the tools in to even start my job.

You may be better off to go with a supporting vendor for a head. At least you know they have done them before and turn around may be quicker.

Some of the best valves on the market. I am still puzzled as to why the cost is so low.
