To get new valves or not

So I am going to be removing my head to replace gaskets, hopefully that is all that is needed, might be cracked, not positive. If it is not cracked and it's still usable, I am wondering if I should get new valves, and springs? Motor has 108k miles. As far as I know it has not been torn down, replaced etc. I figure if I am going to be taking it off anyhow is it needed to replace these items?

I do not plan on doing internals etc. I just want a DD of 350-400hp.

I will be taking my head to get resurfaced, and magnafluxed.
(PS Anyone reading this that is from Alaska, do you know any machine shops that are experienced with dsm's)

Will I want them to do a valve job?

What I have ready for the head:
OEM Head Gasket, Intake, Exhaust, and Valve cover gasket.
ARP normal headstuds.

I want to be prepared. :thumb:

Why replace stuff if it does not need replacing? Non sense to me. Get the head checked out, and tested. If the valves leak, get them re ground and seated and it should seal up if the valves check out fine. If not, they are not that expensive.

Also have them to pressure test your springs to debate weather or not they need replacing. Also are you running cams? IF so, I would suggest upgrading them.
