Stud Puller for the all the studs in the head

I got a head that has no studs at all including the exhuast manifold studs, intake studs, etc.

Which stud puller is the right one? I got one like this (from harbor freight) and it sucks.

You don't need anything other than 2 nuts and a washer. If you put a nut on than the washer and another nut you can lock the nuts together by tightening them into eachother. Than you can use a wrench or ratchet to install the stud. Than just remove the nuts and washer and go on to the next.

Does this method work for removing them as well? I'm trying to pull them off the old head.
 
Yes, it works to remove and install them. When removing them use the inner nut so it is tightening up with the outer nut while turning it. When installing them use the outer nut.
