what head questions to ask


Taking my head to the shop tomorrow and was wondering what to ask.

I know there are certain machines that need to be used but can not find the thread I saw before on it.

Basically what needs to be used to do the seats, deck the head, and regular valve job.

How to change Valve guides In a 4G63T head

ask what equipment they use to cut the seats, if it is a stone set up, go to a diffrent shop
they should use some sort of 3 angle carnide set cutter

no belt surfacing of the head...
How to Surface a 4G63T Cylinder head for a MLS head gasket

make sure they check each valve stem tip height, and spring installed height.
also do the oil port mod
