1g intake on 2g head works.

Well after looking around , searching and searching, everyone says not to put a 1g intake on a 2g head.
Well I did it, and it works AWSOME.
With the 1g head on I got 309 whp on 18 psi of boost on pumpgas, with a 2g head and a 1g intake on, my car got 323 whp on 16 psi of boost on pump gas.
Believe it or not, but top end is sooo much better with the 2g head and 1g intake than teh 1g head and 1g intake.....
 
yea unless you opened the ports like said above, I think your just referring to the amazing 2g head. I would run a matching 2g intake manifold though, probably see even greater intake velocity (which is good)

I run a 2g head on my six bolt, but i run a hyuandai manifold with the matching runners for the 2g head, but the plenum is bigger than a 1g manifold, and it 's already setup for a 60mm throttle body. A 1g manifold on a 2g head would have some problems unless the ports are matched, or the runners are filled to taper to the 2g head.
 
no, just a simple stock 2g head with no modification, with a 1g intake manifold
 
I would try the 2g head and 2g manifold or evo mani. I bet it will be even better.
 
Really ? Have any dyno sheets ? I am interested.. Seems hard to believe.

It will not be hard as soon I get the dyno sheet,I'll ask my tuner to sent it to me
He has both dyno sheet, the one when I dyno with the 2g head and the one with the 1g head.
And btw, I did this dyno with 2 piston with low compression, 130psi. think it has rings problem, getting back pressure and allot of smoke coming out the valve cover.

Btw it is a 4g64 engine with the 4g63 head, fully built block, 0.20 over pistons, and eagle rods, gt35 turbo and I'm using microtech lt8.
 
GT35 and only ~320 WHP? that seems like a conservative setup/boost/tune.

But I'd also like to see dyno sheets and engine pics.

You said you didnt change ANYTHING else other than bolt up a different mani and change up the boost a bit?

The dyno was done on 16 psi of boost, with the shitty fuel we have on Aruba.
THe softare my tuner have can be changed it to the dynojet way and dynodynamics way, dynoyet way 371whp, dynodynamics 323 whp.
